BWB Lifespan?
« on: April 28, 2008, 07:01:10 PM »
Just got my BWB drilled tonight and loving it. I know that this thing is an oil sponge. Question is, how many games has yours lasted? I plan on cleaning it every after every set, but wanted to know if I'll need to do more than that to maintain the reaction of the ball. Thanks!

it all depends on what you use.... I know there are alot of good resurfacing
products to keep the surface fresh.

but when your bowling you want to wipe the ball off after each shot.

Right now my regular cleaner is Storm Reacta Clean, and then I go with Track Clean N Dull every 3 sets or so. Anything you would recommend?

Hmmmmm....  I put 80 games on mine and decided to give it a bath.  Not for any reason other than I knew it was a bit of a sponge.  Virtually nothing came out of the ball.  I just resurfaced it for summer storage last night.

I have over 100 games on mine, and left it in my car on a warm day... two other balls were dripping oil, but nothing from the BWB.  I don't know if it doesn't absorb much oil or if it takes more heat than normal to bleed the oil out.

I got around 130 games on mine, just recently had it resurfaced after I put it through the Hook Again. Had lost some reaction before but now it's like new. As others said, it really boils down to how well you maintain the ball/surface.

I've probably got 50+ games on mine, clean it after every set, and it still has great reaction.

Anyone with like 200+ games on this thing already?
