Can't believe I'm going to ask this, but here goes.

The three Hammer Vibes all have the same specs. but, according to Hammer, they do slightly different things.  Is there really any difference other than the colors?  Would all be good for dry lane conditions?

Onyx always was the strongest.

I typically go for the blue vibe but with storm product line.  roto grip loco solid is my favorite!!!
In the bag [Infinite Physix, Volatility Torque, Night Road, Phaze III, Burner Solid, Hustle AU]
*Now Testing* IQ Ruby, Renevant, another IQ Tour solid

As mentioned all 3 have different covers.

Blue has the CT Solid which would be pretty good at blending the pattern with some surface added and IMO the best opinion out of the 3 for drier lanes because its smoother.

Cherry has the CT Pearl which is a bit more downlane motion and to me needs more of a defined hook spot. Mines has a motion hole in it to get it peel a little harder downlane once I start to move inward.

Onyx is the strongest and earliest of the 3. Mine without a weight hole is about 3 feet sooner and 3 boards more overall than the Cherry.

With this being said, they are not "dry" lane balls. For the avg stats, its a lower volume THS piece that can read the mids really well. They need a little friction but for the price point theyre probably the strongest low end balls you can get outside of the Hustles.

^^ This, my exact experience with these pieces.

Only owned the original cobalt blue vibe, and the new blue vibe.  Both great core shell matchups that made money, and would stay in play on tougher patterns for me.

Of the new ones. both have same layout, same cover prep, Blue and Black
Black is sooner (maybe 1') and approx 3 boards stronger downlane.
The blue is a great piece when there is defined friction, it just strikes for days..
I got the black so I can use it a little sooner instead of waiting for them to break down.
I do not have the Red, but its supposed to be a little longer and little more angular than the Blue.

to answer your question, definitely for medium(at best) to medium light oil
great predictable arcing motion
