Didn't look like 40 feet. Either that or it wasn't OOB. I may be wrong, but you don't have the most hand I've ever seen.

I believe Brit, I have mine polished and it has a weaker layout on it. The ball flies on mediums still polished and with a lengthy layout. The coverstock is really a strong one and the core/cover matchup is great for heavier shots OOB.
The anger is a winner.

Was just my perceptive. I just stated, if my house put out 40 feet, you would not be seeing a reaction like that. Just my .02.

Did someone delete a post? I don't understand the above post reply? What do you mean by "if my house put out 40 feet, you would not be seeing a reaction like that. Just my .02."?
40 foot is not a really long pattern. I get plenty of back end move on patterns that are 40' to 42' long. When you get to 44' and 46' or longer, you need to move the break point closer. However, on 40' to 42' there plenty of room to get a lot of movement like in his vid.
I just watched the vid again. Did you notice it says 40 ft THS. He's getting the ball into the friction outside. So I don't understand where your comming from? I'm missing something here.

Chitown nailed it on the head Kenny...it is indeed 40 ft of medium oil...the ball is OOB and keep in mind my 15-16 MPH ball speed also
and my lack of hand
if you have any other questions let me know!

Not sure what Kenny is talking about...Ball moved how I expected it too on a 40ft THS.
The Anger looks great!

I WISH I had only 40 feet of oil right now. 40 feet is not really all that long. Especially on a THS which generally will give you a little lower volume of oil outside of 10. The last time I bowled on a regular THS, it was a longer pattern, but all of my equipment was moving plenty, and moving fairly early, because the volume of oil is so low in the higher friction area outside 10.
[Warning - Rant forthcoming]
On the other hand, I've been on the 44 foot Shark pattern the past two weeks and have one more week on it, and good God is it killing me!!!! My naturally higher ball speed and low rev rate won't let me open the lanes up any with that extra few feet of (heavy) oil -- I have to point the ball straight at the pocket, hooking it MAYBE 3 boards) and if I miss just one board right, it's not going to recover any at all, and if I miss one board left, it's going to dive through the nose. And if I do hit pocket, the odds of me leaving a corner pin or a pocket split are pretty high because the ball just bounces off the pins. 190+ average on all of the other PBA shots basically, only averaging about 160 on Shark!! My only hope would be to slow the ball down, but I have zero accuracy when I try to slow down -- my timing gets all out of whack then.

Dan,
I can relate to what you are going through. I have the same problem. On Shark Pattern I have to point the ball right at the pocket. Outside of 10 is out of play. Big Problem when you don't have alot of hand.
