COMMENTS
The Curve definitely lives up to the hype. My first impression of the ball is it gets through the front part of the lane nice and smooth gliding to the breakpoint, then a violent Left turn. I also took along the Massacre line to compare to the new Curve. For me the Red Death and Curve seemed to have the same overall movement, except the Red Death would start hooking sooner with less backend. The Blue Death would get more Length then the Red Death but less then the Curve and the Curve would have more overall movement. The Massacre would get similar length, but considerably less overall movement. If you’re looking for something to get through the heads clean and bite hard on the backend this is your ball… The ball has been amazing, resulting in 707, 733, 726, 758 and 745 the first 5 weeks I was able to use it all three games.

COMMENTS
Carry - Great, Lots of messengers!
Likes - His very hard, good on carry down or longer/heavier patterns
Dislikes - can't use more often!
Other - It's too soon to tell on the versatility, durability, and longevity, but I thought many would want to know what I've found so far. The ball is strong. It gets through the heads easily, if there is normal head oil. Very strong in the midlane, then wham! One of the hardest arcs short of true skid/flip that I've ever seen! People watching could not believe the number of boards this ball would cover in such a short period of time! But it's better than skid/flip because it is very controllable.
My feelings are that the ball is best on longer , flatter patterns, or higher volumes. It is great on and ignores carry down. A bit hard to get the breakpoint right on fresh backends, but that could be the layout or my lack of speed.
I have owned several Lane #1 balls, and I feel this is their Cell ! It is that good. Not for dry or mediums(unless they're long mediums),but on heavy, flat, or carry down or for when you have to get real deep and need some finish, this is a winner!

The Curve is the best ball I've ever thrown. I don't get a lot of revs on the ball, but throw over 17 mph. Typically, I throw straight up the 4 board and have a 215 league average. I've grown accustomed to leaving corner pins if I miss the release even by just a tad, but the Curve carries strikes on those hits. If I miss my mark a little right, my other balls skid, but the Curve recovers and makes it back to the pins and carries even the light hits. On flush pocket hits the pins don't stand a chance. If you're not throwing a Curve you're leaving pins on the deck. In the hands of a cranker, this ball would be truly devastating.

all i have to say about this ball is wow.. this is the biggest backend ball i have ever thrown. i throw about 14 -16 mph with a ton of revs. this is my 1st lane#1 ball and im totally impressed.. i have been in a slump lately only averaging 195 and am averaging 224 with this ball. i have never had to play so far left in my life. when this ball hits the pocket im suprised pins dont fall on other lanes it hits soo hard. the carry is just amazing. best ball i have ever owned.  awesome job lane#1

Drilling:

Pin in the ring finger, CG in the centre. MB 1.5'' from thumb,
this is a bout a 4.5'' distance pin to pap.

The ball gets down the lane with ease, and turns like there is no tommorrow, this is by far the most backend i have ever gotten from a lane#1 ball, this ball allows me too bowl deeper than anything else, ive seen in a long time.

Lane#1 are really pumping out the goods this year, I reccommend you give Lane#1 a go for sure!

3 to 4 in Pin with 2 1/2 top wgt.
Dual Angle Drilling
50x4.5x30
End Results:
Pin over ring finger with the mb. right of the thumb
1/2 finger wgt. & 5/8 side wgt.
Wgt. hole drop 1 inch below PAP

Two of my fellow League Bowlers are dedicated Sawheads and they were giving this ball such a high praise and scoring well on the lanes @ Crofton Bowl, Crofton, Maryland. I had to give this ball a try, especially since my scores were not impressive at all (208 Bowler). I was averaging 185 in this house. The Curve was very smooth thru the front part of the lane, but oh brother did it ever make that turn off of the breakpoint. I used this ball on Friday night in Virginia @ Bowl America Shirley, Alexandria, Va. and shot 204+257+234=695, for someone over 60+ years and who is in his twilight years, that was damn good. Last night I was bowling against my favorite Sawhead Team and I shot 213+215+214=642. ( We won 3 out of 4 games) This ball is the first to come out of my bag in both houses. If you haven't tried this low end particle piece, you'll be missing out on a very productive bowling ball in your arsenal. (I'm thinking about drilling up a second Curve, just not as aggressive)(Thanks Dave)
*A Special thanks to Mr. Tubar Thompson for his help and experience with Lane #1 equipment.

COMMENTS

Likes:

Impressive move on the lanes. Just enough particle to ignore carrydown and keep the back end snap from being uncontrollable. Unbelievable power. I love the color! Lane1 carry!

Dislikes:

None

Other:

On our THS I can move deep inside, standing on 42 and send the Curve out to the 13 board at 45+ feet and it just demolishes the rack. If I miss right out to 8, the Curve doesn't burn up and die...it just keeps on coming! The Curve is a good arsenal fit in between the Blue Death and the Red Death.

COMMENTS

Carry – Fantastic

Likes – That pretty purple particle shell is impervious to carry-down.  Throw it out there and watch it come back.  Oh yeah and did I mention the amazing Lane #1 carry?!!

Dislikes – none

Other – I remember when the Curve came out.  I spent a year watching my buddy lane1mobster absolutely killing it with his and finally picked one up in trade.  I gave a Black Cherry Bomb for this ball and some cash, and I am so glad I did!

For a slow speed/medium revs stroker, this is one of my favorite layouts and this is one of my favorite balls.  This is the perfect ball for me when the lanes start to break down and I want to make a big move inside and open up the lanes. The Curve gets good length then flips hard on the friction and carries everything.  But once they dry up forget it… the Curve goes back in the bag.
