15lbs, pin 1-2"

315 degree layout. Pin to PAP distance 3 3/8"

Condition #1: Slightly Slick houseshot with carrydown on synthetics

Ball went straight. Too straight. Not the right matchup for this lane condition. However when played frozen rope to the pocket, the carry was excellent, as it is with most Lane#1 equipment.

Condition #2: THS with SQUEAKY clean backends and outsides on newly resurfaced wood lanes.

Ball still held very well and got SUPERB length, but did check up and roll on the backend. Not real snappy with this layout, just VERY controllable. The hit and carry are excellent. Great ball to open up a very fresh shot on this condition. When everything else is JUMPING to the left, this ball holds it course and rolls up hard in the pocket.

Overall:
At first i was dissapointed, just didnt like the layout.  I really have to square up and play it down and in, but thats not a bad thing, now is it? But when i took it to the second bowling alley, i realized i had a ball that was unlike anything else in my arsenal. Definately gonna keep it. Since i dont like to use plastic, this will probably be my new spare ball and my first ball out of the bag when the backends are TOO much. It also pushes through the heads like a champ when they are burned up. However with the layout i put on it, doesnt have enough to pick up the pace on the second half of the lane. It really is perfect for REAL fresh lanes, and i'm sure with a more standard layout would be a great light oil ball, probably similar to the Sonic X Pearl.

Ball Specs:
Pin 3-1/2" out
Top wt: 3.6 oz

Drill pattern:
I never drilled a Lane 1 ball for myself like this before so I wanted to give label a whirl.
ending weights: 1/2 finger, 1/8 side, 1 oz top

From what I had been told this ball was going to go straight. Well, that is not the case. First shot I used it on was our summer mess as I call it. Oil heavy once on Sunday and then don't oil again until Thursday. Well I was there on Wednesday night. The heads were fried and there was carrydown. The midlanes read early and suddenly. It definitely rolls later than my Viper but has a better backend reaction.

I was impressed with the length obtained from the Bullet. It got through the heads as easy as my XXL. What I didn't expect though was how it got thru the pins as well. The only problem was it puked on the backend. Absolutely nothing unless I moved way in and played up 15. Status? Not really happy at this time.

Went to a different house, fresh oil and clean backends. SImilar pattern with a lake in the middle and dry outside. This ball came alive here. The one thing I did notice was that the ball likes to be rolled, not turned. IF I stroekd the ball up 10 or 12 out to 5 or similar it reacted great. If I tried to rip on it, the ball puked. I am attributing that to the drill pattern.

In short I was able to play a variety of lines with the ball anywhere from up 5 all the way in to 15 to 5. The backend reaction is stronger than what I expected but it is NOT and I repeat..NOT angular in nature. I attribute this to the drill pattern and ball composition.

I see this as a great addition to the Lane 1 series. I may even sell my Emerald and XXL now!!!

Rolled the Bullet for the first time last night...right out of the box. Used the "Pro-Drill" layout...4 3/8" pin:axis 3 3/8 cg:axis...6backend 6 length pin above ring finger. I really liked the way the ball "revved up". Ball also held the line really well. However the box finish is (I believe) too slick. Shot 213 on fresh oil. carry down the 2nd game killed the ball hence the too slick thoughts..I am going to resurface the thing w/600 and finesse. Will post next review Thur 9/2. Ball went through the pins great..I was able to play right of everyone with it on the fresh lane... better angle for me any way..My $0.02 worth...Mr.Phish

ball is 15lb3 oz. with 2.9 top weight 2-3 in pin.  got this ball for dry lanes the house i bowl in is usually quite dry and old wooden lanes.  ball drilled for arc drilling.  Im amazed at this ball breaks a heck of alot more than i thoughtit would. Has alot of punch is exsp. when lanes dry out used it with cherry bomb to compare did really well and kept pace when lanes where in med state but really shined when they dried.  Still need to use it in a premium house  but looks real promising for what i wanted it for nice ball.  If u have dry lanes but need a ball with punch for first ball on them give this ball a try.

Got a 15# bullet and it's drilled tame because I got it for dry conditions and don't use it for anything else like trying to play an outside line. First of all, this ball hits like a buzzsaw, and I was even surprised by the HIT this ball has, also gets good carry.

The bullet goes long as intended and makes a nice move to the pocket, it's not I would call a snap, but good backend movement off of dry boards and not angular whatsoever. An excellent dry lane ball that compliments my arsenal perfectly.

BALL SPECS
Ball Weight - 14

DRILL PATTERN
Pin over bridge with cg kicked out slightly. No x-hole.

BOWLER STYLE
medium revs/speed stroker

SURFACE PREPARATION
4000 abralon, highly polished

LANE CONDITION
Light oil and dry lanes. For anything else put it away.

BALL REACTION
Length - loooooong
Back End - good
Overall Hook - 5 boards at best
Midlane Read - good
Breakpoint Shape - small, gentle arc

COMMENTS
Carry - excellent
Likes - thrives on toasted lanes where only plastic works
Dislikes - ugly plug work that somebody put in this particular ball
Other -After seeing my friend ripping the racks on toasted lanes with his Bullet, I picked up a used 14 lb Bullet. The one I got looks to be on it's 3rd or 4th drill and has some horrible plug work. Although it looks ugly sitting on the rack, it looks nothing but pretty when it hits the pins! This is a go-to ball when the lanes are absolutely toasted. Ideal for playing straight up the third arrow and right into the pocket. But don't try to use it if there's oil. A specialty ball which saved my butt more than once.
