Here's some work Beans did on a couple of balls that cracked on me.  Before and after.

jls, it's not rocket science to plug a crack, even around the entire ball. I have done cracks that have reached halfway around the ball and while I did have to plug in a few stages, it took a week tops from start to finish.

The real question is, is it worth the effort? I am curious as to why he felt the need to use a drill bit along the entire crack too as I have had them work fine just letting plug seep into the existing crack.

The ball is in just as good a shape as a regular plugged ball...

I did a ball just to see what would happen and Urban used it for 7 months so far and it is still holding up. That's why he sent these balls...

Also,
If you know anything at all about bowling balls and how they are made. You would know that the core can't shift....

Thanks and keep all the bashing coming cuz it sure as hell takes longer for you guys to type it than it does for me to plug a cracked ball...

So think about who isn't busy and has time to stalk this room so much...

That's just insane.  I wonder what differences there are in those balls that are brandy new, and the same ball that cracked around and was fixed up.  

That must have taken a while and cost a small fortune.  But hey, if you love the ball enough you'll do anything to fix it.  I know I've done some wacky things for my favorites

Hey... The Pic's seem to show the ball as being CRACKED all the way around..

Not 1/4 or even 1/2...

Now save your rocket science crap for some one else.....

After a ball cracks like that, I would assume it would be out of round. How do you get the ball back to round after all the plugging is done?

Depends on the severity of the crack.  For that Emerald....took 2 months.


For that Buzzbomb hybrid, it took less than a week.
