Post by: triggerman on January 03, 2008, 01:17:21 AM
since the other thread has gotten off topic some what.  lets start anew

what do you guys think of this core with two flip blocks?  solid reactive cover stock?  thoughts? predictions?

Well, having two equal "flip blocks" at opposite ends would still make for a high differential symmetric core. Reminds me of the diamonds with the dense nuggets separated (ala Cherry C/2, Carbide, etc.).

Another ball similar to the Cherry would be outstanding but I don't think it would be the same without the Brunswick Powerkoilo 18 cover. Anyways im not sure if Ritchie and the boys are to happy about the ball be shown around when they haven't even put it on the Lane#1 website yet. They haven't even got the Liberator on the market yet never mind the BuzzBomb. Wonder what they think about the whole thing??

Well i like bomb designs and would have bought it until i have seen the price increase, good luck selling any of these at those prices. Ritchie has went too far on pricing this time, he is not Ebonite and does not command 70 percent of market share.

With the 2 flip blocks one would think it will be very aggressive..
My Awesome Hook is a beast..
If it matches up with you and the conditions, I'm sure it will not be a disappointment for sure.

I don't know what you are talking about concerning the prices, ya shipping is high as hell, but the guy is trying to mae a few extra on the first ones sold, because people will have an urge to be the first ones to have them, and don't care about cost.

Wait until they are out and readily available for a little bit, and you will be able to get them from Deadmoney, or this guy which I have bought from before for prolly 150 shipped.

His name on here is Drillwizard for those who don't know already, PM him he will make you a great deal, or go through Deadmoney, both have great offers, lowest I have found anywhere.

actaully there will be three new balls out, the liberator the buzzbomb and a new xxxl (only a color change)

I look at it this way, the liberator is a niche ball, limited run to fill a void, maybe a second run if first sells well?  who knows

buzzbomb  a high end ball, one of 5 or 6 high end balls they will release

xxxl, just a replacement for their now discountinued red xxxl

I don't see the problem with releasing the Buzzbomb and the Liberator at (nearly) the same time. They are at two different ends of the spectrum. One is a hook monster, while the other is an old-school urethane.

I believe he was refering to the Cherry Pearl C/2 which had the separtated mini nuggets and Pearl PK18. My favorite ball of the bunch.

LaneHammer20, just so you know, Kidace is drillwizard's Ebay account name.  Plus I don't think people were talking about his auction's price.  The market will dictate what it will go for.  I think the price for the Buzzbomb is supposed to be quite a bit higher than the Buzzsaws of old.  Even the urethane Liberator is $150 at Buddies.  I think drillwizard had a post somewhere saying the Buzzbomb would be around $182.  If that's true, that's $30 more than the old line.  Quite a jump.

That would only be known to Richey and them, from what I've heard they are the only ones testing the ball, shops that get the test balls have not received them as of yet...One can only speculate to what it will or what it wont do..

I do believe the Cherry C/2 had the Powerkoil 18 cover. I know for a fact that it did. Plus Lane#1 wouldn't be putting false information on there website. Check the retired ball page and see what it says for the cover.

Is it me, or is the surface hardness low compared to other high end balls?
Its pushing the limits of the USBC specs. (72D hardness min.) for approved bowling balls.
