Hey everyone,
I'm about to pick up both of these balls. I want to use the Solid Uranium as my heavy oiler and I want the Golden Nugget to be my go-to ball when the heads start to go and there is some carrydown. I'm a higher track player with average to slightly above average revs and slightly better than average speed. How would you suggest drilling these balls to fit the conditions that I have in mind? I realize that there are other balls for these conditions, but please only suggest drilling for these two, as the deals are already done. Thanks for the help.

I've had both and still have the Uranium. The Golden Nugget is not a good ball when the heads start to go, but it does handle some carrydown. The original pearl Uranium is a good ball when the heads start to go, but it doesn't like carry down very well. Now if you could just somehow combind the two into one ball......lol
Gene, what I would do is discuss this with Doug Sterner as he is one of the best, if not the best that I know of on this site when it comes to Buzzsaws and what does what. Email him at DougsProShop@aol.com

Gene,
Message sent. I would be more than happy to help anybody with drilling questions and surface prep of the Lane#1 product line. Old or New!!! I have drilled over 300 Buzzsaws for customers and I have also thrown every Buzzsaw made(Except Comet Pro) on House and competitive patterns.
Feel free to call me at (570)740-6043
Thanks Beans

Gene, I would drill up the Solid Uranium with either a stack i.e. 4 3/8 x 4 3/8 or a slight CG out, i.e. 4 3/8 x 3 3/8. Both of these 2 drillings will have a strong midlane roll, with good backend.
For the Golden Nugget, I would go with a label with a 1:30 pin, i.e. 4 x 5. This will allow you to move left when the heads go and swing it more to the right, while expecting more recovery. This layout should carry the 10 pin better when you're having to cross boards. =:^D

Where would you suggest placing the pin in relationship to the ring finger?
PAP 4 1/4", above average revs.
Thanks.
