ok, drilling a Pearl Uranium... a little bit different
« on: March 21, 2005, 08:19:05 AM »
looks like i will be receiving not one but TWO new Lane #1s on thursday!!!

so i am looking for that ball that is going to have more coverage than the Gold Nugget. in its correct environment, the GN is a gorgeous ball. but once things get a bit oily, she likes to skid. sooo...

i am drilling this baby up to read midlane and just arc HARD. yes, i want a ton of hook. i am preferring this ball in heavy mediums, whereas my Golden nugget is great for lighter mediums.

so what would you guys think? it has a 2" pin, and i was rubbing the notion of a 4x4... ideas?

My U. Pearl is drilled label, and it is 3rd in the pecking order behind my U. Solid (label) and Dirty Bomb (stacked).  I would think if you drilled it stacked (4x4) you will get a little less length and be able to use it on heavy mediums like you said.  Right now mine is best suited for light mediums.
