I always go stacked. Pin up and to the right, or even just to the right, of ring finger. Gives great length down the lane and then a huge snap back to the pocket. Love it!

I have mine with the pin up between both fingers and the CG in the center of my grip and it works great on dry lanes. I also use it as my spare ball by changing my release a little.
Good luck with yours!

I got one with a 4-5" pin and got it drilled stacked, pin above/right of ring. Goes long, very long, then makes a nice predictable move to the pocket.
-
mines stacked, or pretty close to stacked, pin is beside ring and maybe a tad above. LONG AND SMMOOOOOOOOOOTTTTTTTHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.... beans told me I would want it strong....
I just drilled one for a friend label, thing is off its tree with backend.. but does not SNAP.

wow...have your MD check your dosage...you need more..
But I do have a question. Why would you buy two if they both give you the same reaction?
You must have thought or were told that there would be a difference in reaction with a different cg placement.

I have mine drilled label, cg in palm and pin next to ring finger. the ball is very controlable and has a great back end.

OK, serious question. Why is it that whenever I see drilling discussion on Lane #1 balls, 90% of them are "label," "stacked," or some other highly generic layout, and in every other ball company's forums, people actually specify what the drilling is (i.e. 5x4 with 2" pin buffer or 50x4x50)? This has really been bugging me for awhile!!

Because it's all the same. We choose to keep it simple. If you look at the other manufacturers drill sheets, they all have pin over/under the ring and CG/MB out for their "MAIN" layout. Hope this clarify's your question. =:^D

I used the pin axis layout. THS league nights. If the ball it outside of 10 at the breakpoint, it makes a nice move to and continuation through the pocket.

I wouldn't know -- I always end up throwing out the drill sheet whenever I buy a ball.
(I also do know that the drill sheet at least tells you the drawings aren't your basis point and if you have a different PAP than the average guy, your "pin over ring" drilling won't end up being pin over ring. Whether or not the pro shop guy punching up the ball pays attention to this is another story!)

Got to throw the Chainsaw tonite the last game of league. Left it with box finish pin right of ring finger. Threw 8 strikes first game with it. Another Lane #1 ball that will pay for itself in a few weeks no doubt. This is + to my arsenal when the lanes are drying out. It allowed me to play direct line to the pocket with a lot of confidence. Thanks to all whom replied.
