hi all i bought a cherry bomb and had it drilled with the pin over the fingers with the diamond logo in line stright below it looks like a 2 inch pin my problem is i bowl on mainly wood lanes that are dry and i leave the bucket more than i care to count its like it is allmost there but not quite i am a fairly stright bowler with around 17 being my ball speed when i slow up on my speed it seems better but still not what i expect .now my question is i dont really want to plug the ball but i do want it to hook a lot harder .will a weight hole help ?scothbright ?if i have it redrilled how should i have it done?i dont wont to give up on this ball right yet and i have thrown around 15 games with it any help would be appreaciated thanks billy

not sure i have thrown mostly track stuff and i tend to like a sharp <controlled though >break late .but if it takes eairler roll ill try that its the wash outs and buckets im leaveing like the ball gets to much lenghth before it starts its move

If u want a late breaking saw buy the cherry pearl bomb or polish the fool out of the one u have.

Billy, you say that the pin is over the fingers, is it directly over the bridge..? Does the ball have any side weight..? Where are you throwing the ball, over which arrow out to where down the lane..?

Depending on how the ball is drilled, it could be rolling out on dry lanes/dry heads and tighter backends. Especially if you stay behind the ball and have a lot of forward roll. Have you tried it on an oilier condition..? =:^D

if you use label drilling at 1.30,ball will go long and break hard...if you want it to roll up earlier,drill 5 x 3 with pin under or at side of finger hole.a weight hole will be needed as teh cg will be kicked out.saws work great with this drilling.

thanks all .and the pin is above my fingers in the center and also i will try it on synthetics this weekend to see if it will do better also i will check with my ball driller on side weight and i like to throw up the 5 to 10 board and i try to stay behind the ball  thanks for the help billy

Billy, I think I'm correct in that the ball is rolling out, because the pin is too close to your track. You need to move the pin to the right of the ring finger. This will give the ball more backend movement, which I think this is what you're looking for. =:^D

t-god thanks i talked with my driller and we decided to put a weight hole in it and the difference was a totally different ball started crushing the rack pins flying  very hard hitting ball thanks to all billy
