Title: Thumb Leverage on Golden Nugget
Post by: asaturno on March 13, 2004, 07:43:22 PM
Thinking about getting a Golden Nugget for
mediums.  I was thinking of using the Thumb
Leverage drilling (length 3, backend 5).  I want
the ball to start sooner and arc more than
skid/flip.

Anyone use this drilling?  How do you like it?

Thanks

Asaturno, message Doug Sterner and give him your question. He runs a Pro Shop and is a Lane 1 dealer as well as user. I have bought 5 Saws from him. He has both excellent knowledge and experience of what the Saws will do with various drillings.

Unless you have a lot of hand, due to the nature of it's cover, I don't think you will find any "Flip" to the Golden Nugget. It can however be drilled for a hard angular drive as well as drilled for arc.

Asaturno,

I would think that the thumb Lev. drilling might burn up, due to the coverstock.  I have seen alot of golds with the pin at or above the ring to get it downlane some.

Just a thought.
