OK. Most of us have sent e-mails to them regarding the approval/disapproval of the SCB. Now that they have placed the original back on the approved list, I think we should all send a message once again laying out the fact that they are both the same exact ball, not a new ball. Point out that an individual bowler can polish the dull version to make it like lane ones version or we can take the polished version & make it dull like the original. Ask them why we shouldn't be allowed to have the factory polished version instead of paying a pro shop to do it for us. Their stubborness & lack of logic on this matter is only bringing another black eyeto the USBC & the sport of bowling. Lets see how many supporters we have on this site & hold off your e-mails until monday, & then flood them with messages.

I don't even own a polished SCB and the unprofessional handling of this issue by USBC annoys me. I think I will buy an additional UNPOLISHED SCB and polish the heck out of it just to show my opinion of the illogical handling of this issue by USBC.

I have seen several posts, dumping the blame for this on Lane #1. I do not know the complexities of releasing a new ball, and neither do these posters. The fact remains that I am confident that Lane #1 believed they where following the rules when they offered this ball to their customers. No company would spend money and time on a ball, if they thought that the ball would be rejected. The USBC response was hastey and clearly not well considered, as evidenced by the fact that they immediately backed down from the Unpolished SCB. Their response to the logical argument over the Polished SCB has been nothing short of crossing their arms and pouting, like a child who had his feelings hurt.

If USBC wants to be THE governing body of bowling, then they need to raise themselves above an emotional, childish response over this ball. I expect the governing body of an organization to be logical, reasonable and professional. This is clearly a petty stab at Lane #1 for offering a factory polished finish in a ball that they wish wasn't on the market anyway.

Shame on you USBC, how does this childish stab at Lane #1 increase the INTEGRITY of bowling or your organization.

If Lane 1 doesn't think this is a new ball then why did they put their re-call response under new balls in their forum?

Why don't you post them back and thank them for fixing their mistake.  Like someone already said in another thread, lets hear the WHOLE story.  There is more going on than what anyone on this site knows.  Maybe, someone who know will post it and then if you do not like the reason, then send you emails out.

Did I miss something?  What are they mad at Lane 1 for?
