The XXXL is a great spare ball and shines too when the lanes are toast.. I've got mine at 2000 grit and shined up like a marble..

I have to say I don''t like mine for spares.  When the backends are crisp and/or the heads are thin / smoked, this ball will get into a roll and hook "some".  For that reason, my c300 white dot is my primary piece.  FOR ME, my white dot simply is directly straight (I use Valentino UFO on it) and FOR ME allows me the most margin of error on spares whereas the xxxl can move SOME, which could get me in trouble in certain circumstances.  When the xxxl sees friction it will "stand up".

That being said, it does not mean that the xxxl is not a good piece for the bag.  When the lanes are a true dry and you MUST play the burn, it shines, and produces a nice move (not snap) and can cover some boards.  So for me, it doesn''t come out often, but when it does it is much needed and ALL ELSE (resin) is too strong.

+1!  Ball is great for spares and toasted lanes.  Mine''s drilled pin over bridge with the cg kicked out, no weight hole, and highly polished.  I have the Fireball XXXL, and it''s darn pretty.
