We got the Straight Flush test balls, so I drilled it up. I stacked it 3 3/8" x 3 3/8" (pin x cg) from my PAP, pin 3" above the midline of my grip.

This ball was better than expected. For a three piece core, it really hit the pins quite hard. I found the ball to be not nearly enough ball for local house shots in my area, but in tournaments when the lanes get burnt, this ball was great.

I think this fits into the Lane Masters/Legends line very well, and it's nice to see them produce quality balls to complete an arsenal.

15 lbs, 3 oz TW, (my PAP is 4 3/4 and 1/2 up),
cg 3.5” off the PAP, 2” pin "stacked" above(right of my ring finger),
13/16" WH located 2" past the PAP and on the midline
(gives me around 1/2 oz pos side weight).

Right-hander, standing 16, "squared up" and rolling up first arrow; my hand position was fully under the ball so as to position myself for a straight "up the back", forward roll release.

WOW !!!!!!!!!!!

Roomies,
I rolled the new Lane Masters Straight Flush for the first time this evening after second shift of night leagues on THS (synthetic lanes and they were "fried"); I rolled 3 practice balls to check the thumb fit and release "feel" (all strikes) then a five bagger, 8 spare (4-7), double, baby split spare (3-10), double and ringing 10 pin for a 247 !!!
The cover of this ball allowed the ball to glide through the heads and the midlane and the core gave me more than enough backend "pop" to carry and shred the rack.
On the 3 "non-strikes", it was because I didn't stay behind the ball and come up the back of the ball or I tugged it a little too much(ie: "operator-error")
I consider this a very good ball and I believe that it does EXACTLY what it was designed to do !!!

GREAT job, Legends/Lane Masters !!!

Layout:
Pin next to ring, CG at center line, no extra hole.

Review:
Gets down the lane extremely well. Definitely designed for the burn and lighter oil. This ball will excel in the desert and still have some pin punishing power behind it. The evolution reactive cover gives enough punch while the core limits the amount of flare...a great compliment. On a house pattern, I was able to play the dry and right moreso than I would with any other ball. I've yet to use it in a tournament environment. When I do, I will update my review.

layout of this ball:  stacked leverage

Wow:  This is a great ball.  I drilled this to replace my aging Warlock.
This ball does exactly what they say it does. For me, the ball goes long
and makes a smooth roll to the pocket. This ball will become my benchmark ball.  Lane Masters provided a great ball. I'm very impressed.

For starter's I don't know the drill pattern, pin placement yet, but I will update it later when I find out.

The straight Flush is tremendously helpful for getting down the lane smooth and into the pocket. With not over hooking for people that have problems cranking the balls that have more hook potential then balls that don't have a high hook flare. This ball replaced The Beast Pearlfor me and I have bowled My first 300 game in league.   I have not yet bowled in tornaments yet with it I will update when I do.

This is a great ball for dry lanes! I have always been an "oil" bowler--I bowl very well (215-220 average) on medium to heavy oil, but when the lanes burn out I struggle, averaging upper 180's to 200, causing my average to float around 205 or so. I bought this ball for the express purpose of switching to it when the lanes dry out. And let me tell you, it fits the bill and then some! I've only had to use it a few times in league (currently bowl only 1st shift leagues), but every time it has helped keep my scores up. The one time I had to use it for virtually the whole shift, I rolled a 654 (218 average).

Very dependable, predictable and controllable, and like all LM/Legends equipment, hard-hitting with great carry. Highly recommended!

Update 2/17/08

I have discontinued use of this ball, as our center has installed synthetic lanes. This ball now goes 60 feet straight. I had other concerns as well. The coverstock did not wear well. I had only about 30 games on the ball and my Pro Shop operator said it was showing excess track wear.
