i might be a lanemaster convert
« on: November 10, 2007, 02:52:47 AM »
i have really been interested in lanemasters / legends for the past month. really wish i could just sell all 13 balls i have now to just get 3 new lanemasters balls. anyways my freind bought a used terminator. we have the same hand span so of course i had to throw it. at first it was a disapoinment, but thats cuz there wasnt enough head oil and because we grips were alittle too small. well replaced the grips and got some oil. i feel in love with this ball and so did he. very smooth and readable. my g-force just skid and did an unpredictable snap on the shot we bowled on. well the terminater just arced the whole lane and hit hard. the awesome thing is after two hours the lanes really broke down but the ball still reacted the same. with the backends now flying and all my other stuff jumping, the terminater still gave a very readable smooth hook. i am very impressed.

Do yourself a favor, and so you don't think you did something wrong, try one ball at a time. These are not cheap but they're very good balls. However, not every  ball is perfect for every player and you might very well, no, you willhave to play with surfaces to adjust them to your needs.

I strongly suggest, unless you're loaded, to try one or two used balls at first to be sure. Then when you're comfortable, read a whole bunch of reviews to see which might make the next best purchase based on the oil and lane surfaces you're bowling on.

Of course trying someone else's is as good an experiment as you can get.

good luck.

i'll still keep the some of my favorite stuff like my riot zone, contact zone, storm agent and either my g-force or fury. i just really think the lanemasters/legends balls are going to match up with my game well.

those look really good. i am really hoping to stick to fewer balls and make the right adjustments. i think with the terminator, world class reactive, and hornet, i will be able to cover everything.

Nooooooo zone, don't go to the dark side... Good luck with the ball, the Terminator just didn't work for me, now have your friend shoot some big scores.
