« on: December 03, 2006, 06:07:40 AM »
I'm looking at buying a The Buzz by Lanemaster
but I'm also looking at buying a Black Widow by hammer.
which one do you think is the all around ball.
I bowl in medium to light oil

Raw Hammer Toxic is IMO the best medium ball available right now.

Pepsi, of the 2 you listed the Buzz would be much better for your lane conditions than the Black Widow as the BW is much stronger than the Buzz.

Of course, without having any idea of what type of bowler you are, it's hard to make a valid suggestion.

The BW is a solid resin with a VERY strong asymmetric core. Unless you have very few revs or a VERY high ball speed rate, it is rarely useful for light oil.

The Buzz is more for medium light to as much as medium oil, in general.
It is a pearl resin with a higher Rg core. To cover that oil range, you might need a strong drill or a surface modification or both.

If you're an average bowler, I wouldn't be inclined to recommend either to actually cover medium-light to true medium oil. In general, I'd say the Big-R-Bang or the Masterpiece would be better choices to cover medium-light to medium oil for the average player.
