looking for a bit of advice

hey guys, im looking for a bit of advice from the people who actually know. I just ordered a hornet a few hours ago, and im looking for one other ball. Im looking to basically have 2 balls to bring with me and cover 95% or more of normal house conditions. I was thinking drill the the hornet to get down the lane, so i can use it on the dry, as well as square up with it and play one the med shots(basically fresh THS or slightly broken down) and then have something to go above it. I was thinking black pearl... Drill it moderately strong, and be able to square up with it on the heavier stuff, and be able to open the lane a bit on the less than heavy stuff. Does that sound about right? or am i completely confused haha. carry and everything on the longer shots shouldnt be a problem, as i have more than enough of a rev rate to keep me comfortable on the most flooded shots i come across(2 handed) so what do you guys think, does my plan sound like its gonna work out alright? or should i consider something else as the second ball? I really wasnt considering any solid balls aside from maybe the sting, just because my rev rate is so high, i think it would be less than versatile... pearl particle seems to be the best option, but i could be wrong... obviously pearl particle wasnt meant for the real heavy shots, but i think ill be able to get by, i just dont want to spend 140+ on a ball that ill be able to use 3x a season you know... so everyone who has experience with the balls, could you help me out and give me a better idea of what im doing?

No one, absolutely, no one can predict whether or not you'll be able to "force" any particular ball into a down and in trajectory.

If the Hornet works for you (It can have a pretty strong backend), then the next logical step is the Buzz. I'm learning to like mine more and mroe ach day, each time that I use it. With a generic drill, surface changes seem to make an immense difference. If I were you, I would DEFINITELY try one. It seems to me to be a very versatile ball, and if you've read many of my posts, I do not often say that.

If you have some hand, a general drill will make medium oil a necessity, although it gets good length automatically.

When BTM first reviewed it, they said it was good for both medium AND heavy oil. Since it's a resin pearl, WITH a mild core, my first reaction was either 1, you made a big mistake or 2, you're full of horse hockey pucks. Now, as I use it, I am beginnign to believe then. (Example: I sanded mine to 2000 grit with an Abralon pad and I need fully medium-heavy oil to use it at all. Otherwise, it just self-destructed and burnt up in the midlane.)

very interesting... thanks for the response. i was actually torn between the buzz and the hornet for the weaker ball, but i decided to go with the hornet, as i would rather have a ball thats too weak and have to play straiter than have a ball that needs to be heaved over the cap haha.
