I have had an AP2 and really liked it(sold it cuz it had 2 drills on it, and because I got the Big Bang and the World Class), and I'm looking at getting another to replace it IF I can get it laid out to compliment/not overlap the current lineup. I haven't rolled a NS2 ... I'm sure charlest will chime in here cuz I THINK that he did or does.
Current lineup:
- Big Bang
- World Class
- AP2 (3x3 layout) maybe, if I buy it ...
- TRACK Rule Delta 1
- New Standard
- TRACK Xception 5.0 ** 2nd drill**
- Big Kahuna
- KONG
- The Buzz
- TRACK Xception
- Absolute Power
- TRACK Desert Heat

Depends what you're looking for.  I can't speak to the AP2 but the NS2 is a good control ball.  It rolls early and has a controlled backend.  Not an exceptionally big hooking ball.  For me, in comparison, the Big Kahuna has a much bigger backend and the World Class is at least an arrow stronger.  When I'm on a shot where my Big Kahuna is overreacting on the back, as long as there is some head oil, I can go to the NS2 and find the pocket.  If you need a good (strong) control ball, the NS2 would be a good choice.

Sounds as if that's 2 votes for the good guys !!!
I'm not sure that they make any that are "just OK"; with proper consideration of the bowler, the style and the conditions, these balls will work well for all bowlers that are committed to the game.

Yeah, I guess all the excitement about the Big Bang and the World Class have overshadowed the AP2 and the Guaranteed as oilers. Since I still can't find enough oil for my Yeah Baby!, I never tried the AP2, the Guaranteed and now will probably not try the Big Bang.

I liked the NS2 when I saw JS use it a couple of times. Remember it is intended for medium oil maybe medium+, despite the heavy load of particles. It is a control ball with hit, when used on enough oil.
