just tried some I-Tack on ...
« on: April 05, 2010, 12:31:06 PM »
a ball that had lain idle for a couple of months. It had the oil-shine lines of ground-in oil. I thought I had cleaned the ball before I laid it aside. Darn!

Anyway, it took off the oil shine very nicely. NOT, according to direction I let it sit on the ball (sprayed it twice) for about 10 seconds. Directions called for 15 seconds. I was impatient. It removed the oil-shine quickly with minimal rubbing with a micro-fiber towel.

It smelled much less strongly than the original Lanemasters cleaner. Its smell was halfway between that of alcohol and oil. Disappointingly it is still not approved for use during competition.

Next day Tuesday, 4/6:

Just threw a couple of practice games. Tried the I-Tack and the old Lanemansters cleaner on the oil lines. The old one got completely rid of the oil lines, after the I-Tack got rid of most of them. I had to look more carefully to see that the I-Tack did not get rid of all the oil lines. Interesting.
