Big Bang Surface Change

Has anyone successfully polished The Big Bang?  My current lane conditions do not allow me to throw this ball in box condition so I thought I would tinker with the coverstock. I've tried hand polishing it with the supplied polish but it seems that the coverstock is unpenetratable.

Mine is polished to a glass finished.
On a THS it will open up the whole lane for you.

Sometimes, the Legends polish needs some pressure, if that's what you used. I got a good shine on my World Class, a similar coverstock. Try sanding it to 1000 grit with Abralon or 1500 grit and then try the polish again.

Also try a slight bit of water on whatever pad/sponge/cloth you use to spply the polish, before your put the polish on it.

Thanks for the input, it took the polishing well after I was able to bring my stuff home and utilize my ball spinner.

A word of caution is advisable when adjusting Lanemasters balls and in looking for changes in ball reactions with surface changes. Lanemaster/Legends balls are definitely slightly different from any other ball I know of and they react slightly differently. So, proceed carefully and experimentation is advised.

The good part is once adjusted, it's almost shocking if you are not happy with the way they react for you. But that can happen.
