Kong maybe the right ball for USBC Nationals???
« on: April 08, 2006, 02:46:33 PM »
One of my pro shop drillers who shot in the high 1800's told me he watched another guy crush with a Kong drilled pin under ring finger and slight sheen on it. He said if he had this ball he would have easily shot in the 1900's maybe 2000's, the ball reaction was perfect for the USBC pattern that is out there this year. When the guy threw the ball correctly he said no other ball in the house hit anywhere near the same way, he is on staff with another major company so for him too tell me this is just for legends fans that might be still going too nationals soon.

I think the Kong might be coming in august when i buy my next few balls until then i am taking the summer off from new ball purchases. I am just trying too relay what he told me too post for the legends guys. I am throwing big band and world class side by side tomorrow morning, i will post probably monday how it went.

Had the Kong. Yes, it could worked very well for the light oil pattern they had at Nationals. His style, the drilling and where he played all could have combined in the normal way to make that ball work well there.

Barry,
VERY interested in the side by side comparison; I have them too, as well as The Buzz, but a hip flexor has me sidelined for the next few weeks.

I polished my Kong to a glass finished and it is the best light/dry oil ball I ever rolled.

I have a Kong drilled pin over bridge cg kicked right 1.2 inch.  Am the only guy to average over 210 in the sport league this session ( 42 feet oil )..  Awesome medium ball with a punishing hit...
