Michael Haugen Jr. is doing real well in the PBA trials and I understand he is using Legends/LM almost exclusively.

The PBA Approved equipment list shows Legends is only approved for Grass roots. So I'm kind of surprised he's allowed to use it in the Trials. It also means he won't be able to use it during the national PBA events (I think).

Grassroots is allowed for the Trials.  The trials are considered the same as a regional event.  Unless LM/Legends move up from grassroots level, they won't be allowed on the national tour.

Per the PBA site:

There are still two days left so I’m still taking it one day at a time, one block at a time and one shot at a time. The second you take it any further than that, the game will come up and bite you,” said Haugen, who used a Lane Masters Mirage and New Standard 2.
