Title: i just purchased a big bang from a friend of mine.. any comments on this ball?
Post by: TrackGuyJeff on March 02, 2007, 04:29:53 AM
like i said, i just got this ball from a freind of mine. i wanted something for the pba experience league that my house is going to run. i know this ball will probably be to strong for our normal house shot, but was wondering what you guys thought of this ball on the pba shots? i left the ball at box finish, and pin out. ive read that this ball is strong in oil, and on the backend. was hoping to get some feed back. this is my first lanemasters ball, and hopefully not my last. about me. im a high rev, high speed player with alot of hand. i luv to open up the lanes and play big areas, but can also, tone it down and play down and in. thanks for your comments and suggestions.

Great ball.  I never see enough oil for the most part to use mine.  Probably going to sell it.  If they'd lift the oil embargo I'd use it more.

How mine is laid out.  http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q29/scotts33/LMLBigBanglabel01.jpg

My opinion (worth about 2 cents ...):

In general, and especially with high ball speed, desite your high revs, it is generally not a ball to "open up the lanes with", at least, on true heavy oil.

On medium heavy oil, you may be able to do that.

For an oiler, it gets more than average length, due in part to its medium-low RG differential, which usually results in less flare than average, but more backend than average, FOR AN OILER. However, its strong coverstock, allows it to be used in medium-heavy to heavy oil, depending on its drill and, in my opinion, on your ball speed/rev rate ratio.

Only low rev strokers should be able to use it on medium oil, unless you add some polish, which is generally not suggested for this ball.
