Post by: azus on January 06, 2007, 01:45:03 AM
What type of condition shall Kong be used on? In the sheet it says med-heavy, but ive read reviews where it says that its good on medium to mediun-light.

"AZ",
My experience, and from what I've heard over the past year, is that it's predominately a medium to medium-light conditions ball ... and a very good one too !!! I'll ALWAYS have at least one in my bag (I currently have one drilled and a NIB waiting to layout for Senior Regionals).

azus,

I can back up that experience (of Robb's). I've had a 15 lb one and a friend has had one. Now I'm using 16 lb balls and one of my first orders of business was to get another Kong at 16 lbs. With the same drill it covers closer to medium than medium light than my 15 lb one did, but it is definitely for medium-light to medium for TRUE average rev bowlers.

One of the great things about it is if there's carrydown, nothing's better than solid particle to battle and overcome carrydown than a solid particle.

agree with both above of course.. i use mine on medium lanes also. however on tuesday i might be able to use it on the shark pattern. for me if i scuff it i can play a really nice straight inside shot. i love how for me it is a low flarring ball so if i use it on medium to light conditions i can still rev it and it won't snap through the nine pin. just like laybzz i always keep one in the bag..
