Lane Masters, give me the full story, are they gone?
« on: March 20, 2012, 06:51:26 PM »
I've seen an article about Lane Masters filling chapter 7, then the whole Lord Field thing started-up, who owns who, did Lane Masters/Legends shut down, re-organize or sell-out to Lordfield, what is the total scoop!

Lord Field is a completely seperate entity, located in Korea. They are not affiliated with Lane Masters in any way.

OK, is Genisis & Lordfield related since Lordfield is using Lanemasters cores?

 As "milorafferty" stated above, there is no affiliation between the two.  Tony Martin of Lord Field used to be with Lane Masters , but he has stated on here and other bowling forums that there is no connection between the two companies.

Check out the forums on bowlingballexchange.com and bowlingchat.net for more info directly from Tony Martin.

Did any of the stockholders benefit from the sale of the rights?  Schwanstuker, yes they are bankrupt.

The assets and naming rights to Lane Masters bowling was sold to Genesis Bowling, a Korean company. They are still producing balls here locally at the Stockton, CA facility.

Lord Field is in no way connected to Lane Masters.

Lol, you know the financial shape they were in, they owed everybody money! I don't know but it's doubtful.  I did find it odd that J. Jones was listed as a creditor though.

So, Lordfeild stole the core's from Genisis/LaneMasters, too bad Sam Baca didn't patent them! The LM Garauteed core is in the LF Pin Hacker, is it not?

Read it all AGAIN.
No one stole any cores from any one. Both companies get them from the same source.
Neither company makes all their own cores.

Schwanstuker,

Public statements like that can be taken several ways. Accusations like that can be trouble. Sam didn't make the weight blocks. We got permission to use them from the original designer. Please refrain from anymore statements like that.

Apparently, you did not check out the links I mentioned above on bowlingballexchange.com or bowlingchat.net about the origin of the weightblocks.  Tony clearly states where they came from and how Lord Field came into using them.  If you look closely at the weightblock below you will see that they are different enough as well as differences in RG/Diff.

These are the specs from the Guaranteed, and a picture of their weightblock:

RG=2.571

Diff=.039

Here is the Pin Hacker specs, including a picture of the weightblock:

RG=2.528

Diff=.043

I was ready to walk away on this subject till Charlest just opened a new can of worms, so All knowing Charlest, who is the source of the Cores because I've read over & over through this and you claim there is 1 central source of cores? And to Pat & Tony, it was never made clear that an arangement was made for 1 company to barrow another companies cores so it would be easy to assume that Lordfeild would have taken possesion of LaneMasters. I don't travel to other Bowling websites so unless you supply a direct link, I'm not going to go search for it when anouncments are made on this site with spotty info, if All of the above info was placed on this site, I would not have jumped to any conclussions.

I was told by someone that there was a gentleman in Japan that designed the cores and Lanemasters had permission to use some of them. I imagine Lord Field has the same permission, though I am not 100% sure.

I posted all the info months ago here. These weight blocks are originally from the gentleman who designed them for AZO. LM was AZO before they lost the name. LM kept the weight blocks. LF just went to the source for permission to use these beginning weight blocks they knew worked so they could learn how to make balls. Now I have developed new weight blocks and cores and those weight blocks will be out. Schwanstuker, there is way more involved than you will ever know. If I ever told the whole story everyone would be in shock. Just let this one rest.

LM is bankrupt. I lost a lot of money there. Can we move on to more productive conversations? Thanks.

Sure, go ahead and blame me if that's what it takes for you to justify your assumptions! Bye!
