Big Bang
« on: November 04, 2007, 05:38:22 AM »
I've had the BB for 6 months now and its been a revelation for me.I have it drilled  for maximum length and finish pin above to the right and CG 3half ins directly below.I'm a stroker not a lot of revs so i play straight down 8 board with great results with this ball, got my ave up to 217 after 100 games in one league and 222 over 21 games in another. Its been so good that i have another one that i will be picking up next week so what i want is some ideas on how to drill this one. The scores i have with this ball have been on two different patterns on synthetic lanes. So i was wondering what other drillings i could have for this one and what type of finishes would i get with them.

What would having the pin below ring finger and the CG either directly below or moved out 1in, 1half in, etc would this give me early roll on heavier oil and still get the strong finish i get with the way i have it drilled now, not really sure what i'm looking for in drilling this new one up. Any ideas  Thanks guys

Lanemasters recommends that you have at least one ball in your arsenal that is drilled "Pin Axis".  This is done by placing the pin directly on the PAP and the CG on the midline.  They say this will produce the most roll and least skid.  They also say that a large hole in the PAP will increase the effect.

I would not recommend that drill for BB UNLESS you have a whole bunch of ball speed. Just my humble 2 cents plain.
