Title: legends masterpiece advice
Post by: var60bfl on June 27, 2006, 10:04:24 AM
I have an original Inferno that i love. Would the Masterpiece be a comparable
replacement? I need a strong reactive for medium conditions and this sounds
like a good ball.

I haven't rolled the Inferno, but I'm on my 2nd Masterpiece (bad layout matchup on the first one) and it's a great reactive ball for that condition.
Make sure that you get a layout that suits your style and game and is relative to your PAP ... that will maximize it's versatility for you and allow you to fine-tune the reaction with coverstock adjustments and/or a properly located balance hole.
Check out the Legends web site at legendsbowling.com and don't hesitate to email or call Galen Gentry for info/advise, recommendations, etc.
 Good luck !!!

Thanks for the advice.
I really like Legends equipment. The New Standard i have is a great ball.
The Masterpiece sounds like a winner also.

There are others that will chime in too; look for "charlest" to post a thread ... EXTREMELY smart and experienced with the MP.
BTW, check my profile for my "L/L" arsenal !!!

var60bfl,

Laybzz has said just about everything for you.

My slant is that the MP is slightly earlier and stronger than the OI. If you have adecent rev rate, consider using a pin-PAP distance in the 4-5" range. The MP is roughly equivalent to most other companies' particle pearls, even though it is a resin pearl.

If you have a higher ball speed than you do rev rate, then drill it stronger.

Thanks again. The MP sounds like a good match for me.
The layout suggestions seem to suite my style. I'm buying it tomorrow.
