Title: my last 2 days with the buzz
Post by: lsf_21 on April 20, 2008, 01:24:07 PM
i bowl in a rather tough house, buy yesterday in our league roll off shot 258-201-241 for my 2nd 700 series(first was shot with the new standard) today i go to frankfort to bowl in the youth state tournament, shot 615-640-719 and tied my high game of 278 front 7 then left a 3 pin b/c i overthrew it. been bowling for 3.5 years.

i actually have 2 buzz's. one drilled label other drilled pin below ring. the las 2 days were with the pin down buzz. I have also had great success with my sting drilled exactly the same.

Good bowling!
A good ball only lets you score as well as you have thrown them. So don't give all the credit to the balls.

Good bowling and congrats.  Just curious, how does your sting roll?  Heavier on the backend or smooth?  And how strong?

both the sting and the buzz are at the close to the same surface both highly polished. compared to my buzz they both get down the lane quite nicely and the sting and the buzz for me make close the the same move down the lane just the sting makes it just a bit earlier and a bit more great compliment to each other. havent tried throwing it sanded yet to make a comparison off that yet.

sorry if thast confuseing if it is let me know ill rewrite it.

Kinda lol.  So the Sting is earlier, I get that.  Is it on the smoother or snapier side though?

for me it isnt really snappy. its a very strong smooth move off the dry and it doesnt stop. It is much like the buzz in reaction just a bit earlier and can handle more oil. on a drier shot(which the ball isnt intended for) at the polised surface it is snappy though. but on the proper pattern it is very smooth for me.

Okay, thanks.  I was thinking of getting that ball some time in the future for a nice even-rolling ball.  I don't know how strong it is though.  How much oil can it handle before you wish you had something stronger?  And would adding more surface to it help handle even more oil?

i personaly have never been on a pattern that i wish i had something more. I have a cell just in case but havent thrown it any besides in practice. On heavy oil the sting has been my goto and works great. Not sure on exact rev rate but im a med-high speed high rev lefty that likes to go straighter so i usually dont need anything more. But when i practice and want to practice swinging something more is usually helpful. My sting is polished and i still use it on heavier longer patterns such as shark, i havent tried it sanded yet but i would definitely say it would handle much more oil.
