Title: Old Lane Masters/Legends
Post by: milorafferty on March 12, 2019, 10:01:00 AM
I have always been a big fan of the original Lane Masters/Legends stuff. Mostly the Pre Tony Martin made balls.

And yesterday, I came across quite a nice little group.  A couple of these I have not seen in years undrilled. Some are 14lbs and some are 15lb, but I had to have them all.  ;D

Massive Impact, Solid Strike, The New Standard, Guaranteed, Conquerer.

Nice.  Great find.  Undrilled NS by itself is not easy to find.

Yea, very unusual to find any of these. The Sure Strike is much newer than the others.

Especially ones that have not shrunk in diameter like a lot of old Lane Masters products tend to do.

Funny you should mention that. Did they shrink after production or were they manufactured small? I started a post here a few years ago when I noticed how much extra space there was when I put a quarter scale on some of my Lane Masters equipment.

New Standard and Conqueror were two of my favorites.

They shrunk after manufacturing. Some balls didn't but a lot of them did, and by quite a bit.

I have 2 NIB 15lb. New Standards, among others from that era.

Seen your name come up a lot for LM stuff going back aways so guessing you and people you know have a good amount of those left.   Late to the LM party but like the single drilled World Class I picked up so far.  Hard to go wrong with 2 piece particles in general.

The Sure Strike was their first ball with filler around the core. They worked long and hard to find the right filler composition to give it the hitting power of their other balls: NS, Yeah Baby, The Buzz, etc. It worked.
