Suggestion about coverstock

With all the varible results one can end up with, any suggestions as to how to get somewhat close to 800 sheen on a Big Bang? Website didn't offer much in the way of clues to help. Is abralon going to be affective with the diamond particles? Trying to avoid as much trial and error as I can for this great ball!

I have found that Valentino's Resurrection gets almost precisely to that 800 grit sheen. I sanded my balls first to 600 grit (US scale) and then applied Resurrection with a dry terry cloth towel. The result was so close to their stock 800 grit sheen that for all intenst and purposes it was "800 grit sheen".

Use the grey pad that Lane Masters supplies.  That is their 800 sheen finish.  If you don't have one, i am sure you can get one from your local pro shop or hardware store.

The grey pad is just a plain 800 grit abrasive pad. It is NOT their 800 sheen finish. I can guarantee that. Their sheen finish is something very unique.

Yes, it was, or more precisely, sand to 800 grit, spply a heavy dose of Legends Factory Finish polish to get a super high gloss finish, then apply a lightly used light grey pad. The result should still have that gloss finish "peeking" thru the very light sanding light created by the used Scotch Brite light grey (800 grit) nylon pad. It is a tedious procedure that has to be done very carefully and often has to be re-done.

It is the most difficult stock finish to achieve of any balls by any manufacturer.

Resurrection is now a much faster way of getting to that point.

Thank for the replies. Charlest, Resurrection does seem like the path of least resistance. I think I'll buy some!
