Question about my WC/R
« on: October 07, 2008, 04:43:02 AM »
Hey guys, I have always thought the world class reactive was, well, reactive. I dont know what had me thinking it, maybe the product decriptions, maybe the name on the ball and box that has reactive in it... But the ball says it has the particle cover... Is this a mis engraving? or what? here is a pic of what Im talking about.

Probably a misengraving.  It looks like a WCR and in order for it to have an actual particle coverstock, they'd have to have put the wrong color dye in the base coverstock.  It probably wouldn't be the only ball like that, then.

To be misengraved, the guy running the engraving machine would have to forget to switch it from "Particle" to "Reactive" and probably noticed on the next ball that he forgot to do that.

Any number of explanations.
The original World Class was 2 shades of blue and had a label almost exactly like yours. The WCR is resin with no particles as far as I know.

Yours might have been a very early run back in 2006, so that it used the engravings from the original. Maybe it was intended to be a complementary ball to a pro shop.Maybe it was a test ball, not the final product.

I doubt if anyone here really knows. WHy not write down the serial number and call them directly? They may give youthe real answer.

Maybe you have a special ball, a one of a kind. If so, don't drill it yet.
