Solid Strike core????

I am curious if the core they use in the strike series is the same core in the Xtreme Damage. I have fell in love with my xtreme taking top honors as best ball i have thrown.

I am seruiously interested in the solid strike and the ball looks to have the same core only slightly weaker numbers, the pictures show the same core to me. Am i correct on this????

I thought the shape and numbers were the same as the Sure Strike and the Counter Strike.

Don''t count on similar looking pictures meaning the core used is the same one.

The XD uses the same core as the Yeah Baby! Same core different cover!

The initial shape of the weightblock appears to be the same, but the extreme damage looks to be a solid shell with no filler, while the strike series seems to have a thinner shell with a filler surrounding the core shape.

 That could account for the difference in total core strength.

I have heard this as well, this is why i am asking this question. The pictured core of thew Xtreme that is on the site is that of the solid strike/ counter strike core, definitly not a Yeah Baby core.

Where is Tony on this matter

I was told by Lane Masters when they called me for my order that it was the Yeah Baby core! That's where I got my info from, straight from the horse's mouth!

When I got to my shop I looked at the specs and picture in my Lane Masters catalog and the two cores look the same, both the XD and Solid Strike! The number are slightly different, but the pictures look the same! The numbers are going to be a little different because of the XD not using filler material like the Solid Strike, Sure Strike, and Counter Strike!

Hi Everyone!!! Been a little crazy here.

Solid Strike has the weight block of the Yeah Baby. But it is made with 3 piece construction.

XD has the same weight block as the Yeah Baby and is two piece construction with a particle pearl cover.

This will answer the questions of different numbers in RG and DIFF.

Both are great balls and I personally have been using my Solid Strike the last 8 weeks. after 2 weeks I put a 3/4" weight hole 2 1/2 " deep in the lower quadrant right on the VAL and the ball changed tremendously. I've averaged 230 since doing this. This ball is a monster. Shots I thought for sure were ten pins now are "SOLID STRIKES".

DRILLING ADVICE: When using weight holes to affect the reaction of your ball please start off smaller and deeper with Symmetrical cores. You can always make the hole bigger if needed. The most important fact in a weight hole for effect is to make sure you hit the weight block. I can not emphasize that enough. If you like the reaction you have and just need static weight balance do not hit the core with a hole.
