Title: Swag Incredible and Hero review and thoughts
Post by: mainzer on July 13, 2020, 06:48:40 PM
So I had a hard time figuring out how to write this review and give my thoughts.

I was offered a deal on a Incredible and Hero and took it i was very eager to try this equipment as i like to use different equipment. Both balls were drilled 70x4x40. Incredible is at 2000 abralon and the Hero was stepped from 500 to 4000 both of these surfaces I have used with success many times and are proven for me as well as the layout.

Sabre Lanes THS: I had a very good look with both bowling balls. Good drive and continuation through the pins and very good hitting power. The Incredible (solid) was about 3 boards more the Hero both had similar shapes and I was able to get as deep as I wanted to  and both would make the corner very easily. As a comparison I  used my Ebonite Choice 65x4.25x70 and it was about 1 stronger than the Incredible a bit more angular, it was about 4 more than the Hero and still more angular. Overall I was very impressed in this setting.

Sport Patterns: I used these on a variety of Sport conditions and did not see good results at all. I usually try to be very specific with these but there isn't a lot to tell here. These bowling balls simply don't hook and I don't mean they hook less I mean they just barely stop sliding while My Hybrid Choice and Allure or hooking and driving these balls can't even get out of there own way. Later in blocks during transition they hook some but are erratic off the spot and do not get through the pins well at all.

My Thoughts: if you are simply a league bowler only bowling soft conditions with free hook on the side and end of the pattern these are good very good actually. However if you are bowling on anything other than a THS don't bother with these they are useless.

I am very disappointed that this equipment did not suit my liking and I hope this finds it's way back to anyone in charge at Swag/California Bowling LLC. I spent money on a product that is inferior to other products on the market.

Now that's an honest review.

Methinks you might not get an invite to be a staffer for California Bowling though.  :o ;D

What you have said is pretty much there history.. They have gotten better but the first remakes were not very strong (like you mention) on tougher patterns. I have drilled at least 20 of there balls over the last 7 years and some I liked other not at all...

Aren't they a pay to play staff kinda deal?

Probably so, that's what Tony was working toward at one time I think.

I kind of ignored them when they became Lame Masters in name only.

No experience with Incredible,  but I found the Hero to be a good choice on medium to longer sport patterns

yeah.  i reached out to them out of curiousity in the past.  its basically, buy two balls at price and then they'll talk about more
