« on: August 17, 2006, 01:02:27 PM »
sorry to be the guy with the dumb question, but i hear amazing things from l/l and i wanted to try them, but i have a thing about particle, i just dont like them, i was looking for a reactive and the only one that was obvious was the w/c reactive, whitch other ones are reactive and witch ones in your opinions are the winners?
thanks

The Absolute Power rocks my socks.  Gets good length and has a very nice turn on a medium oil shot.

I concur; with the proper "matched up to your stats and style" layout, the Absolute Power is sweet and crunches the pocket !!!
The Masterpiece is another hard-hitter; its core revs early and can be a bit "skid-flippy", but be aware that the  coverstocks on these "L/L" balls really take well to adjustments to "tweak" the overall reaction, as well as the use of a properly placed balance hole.
The new BUZZ is a pearl reactive and has a place in an "L/L" arsenal too ... it's better for opening up the lanes after the pattern breaks down a bit; the cover gets it through clean to the breakpoint and has some serious backend recovery.
I know that you stated that you don't really care for particle covers ... however, give some thought to the KONG; it was originally thought to be a medium to medium-heavy oil ball, BUT many of us have found it to be a GREAT medium to medium-light ball. These beast absolutely ROCKS !!! It "goes long and comes back strong" ... just turns and ROARS through the pindeck.
Check out the links below for more info on both lines of equipment, and keep "us" posted on your progress.

BTW, the "L/L" guru is Galen Gentry at thier home office in Stockton, CA; contact info is: galen@lanemasters.com or call 1-888-526-3645

Good luck !!!

Thw WC/R is a new release and bowlers are still evaluating its capabilities, although BTM gave it a 9.5 across the board for medium oil; below is a link for a review on the Perfection pearl reactive:

Not sure about that ... but you can eamil or call Galen at Legends and find out if they sell to pro shops (I BELIEVE that they sell to distributors, but I'm not positive).

Order from allstarbowling-Joe. You won't find a better price or a better guy to deal with. I got a World Class Particle from him two weeks ago and a World Class Reactive from him this week and I couldn't be happier with my purchases. He sent me the exact specs I asked for both times.

yea i realize i could BUY them online, but that would defeat the pourpous(sp) of the job in the shop, i get what he can order from a distributor/co. in excange for my time in the shop. so if i were to buy them, well you understand

Matt,
I understand your point; I'm not sure who the nearest distributor is to you in central NY, but Galen could tell you ... OR you could send Scott Lee in Chicago an email (provided below) and see what input he has (he's an "L/L" rep in northern Illinois that I know). Good look !!!

A local distributor just recently started carrying them.  I'm not sure if it was L/LM's choice or the distributors though.
