Too bad. Flash is obnoxious, you can't link directly to any sub-page, and it maxes the processor on my Mac and all the Linux machines I've used.
Edit: It's also exceptionally slow, and I've got a respectable broadband connection. Websites like that shouldn't make noise, either. No talking, no music, no clicking sounds.
As charlest said, great balls, lousy website. Other ball companies have nice, rich sites that are very informative but don't bog down a machine or connetion.

It's really bad, as bad as the balls are good.
The messages to wait: "loading"?
Having to hit "ENTER" twice, to even get into the website?
The light red printing on a black background is totally unreadable. I cannot see what it says, literally. It's not hard to read; it's impossible.
I see a new World Class ball, red swirls on a black background. I can't see what ball this is supposed to be. Is that the WC Particle Pearl?? I really cannot read it.
This is bad, bad news!

John,
Yep, can't wait for September 7th for the release of the World Class Pearl Particle. I've become a Legends/Lane Master Ball Whore...................Got to love all those shirts, too!

Yes Charlest, that is the new World Class Particle Pearl.
More than likely my next L/LM purchase.....I really love the WCP solid. That ball is amazing in my hands...though by no means of me, the ball makes me look good. LOL
I would more than welcome a switch to a L/LM particle pearl once the lanes break down....the WCP ends up rolling out and burning its energy when the mids start to go......the WCPP is just what I want...the Black Pearl was way too strong for me.

charlest, maybe you should buy a new monitor, or video card? or use one that works.. it's fine on this end ^_^
{that is if you were serious about your reply}
the site is much more user-friend with the interface this time around
I have an pretty darned good monitor, although it's only 14" and I use IE version 7. The WC Particle Pearl was the first ball and I saw and was the basis for my comments, especially the light red print on the black (charcoal gray?) background. I literally cannot read it still.
The rest of the balls weren't bad.
The only bad part I saw was the same as the old site: when a group of balls are shown and you pick one in order to display its details, unless you can recognize the color scheme for each ball, you can't see the names as they are moving back and forth. Even though I recognize them all (of course ), I sometimes have a hard time seeing which is which.
This display is very showy and displays a lot of intense programming but it is not user friendly. Someone going there for the first time or even several times therafter can easily be confused. (I used to work a lot in computer user interfaces; so I know something about this.)

Too much flash and macromedia. I would suggest toning it down abit, because it took the better part of a minute to two minutes to load just the front page.

does anyone think it's weird that they've released so many balls at one time? from a marketing and production standpoint, wouldn't you think it'd be tough to compete with your own products?
ALl those balls are not available now. I think the WC particle pearl is not due til NOVEMBER! 1 or 2 are due in September, which is always a hotbed of new releases by everyone.
These dates are hard to see because of some of that strange print/background color combinations.

The old site was bad.
This site is worse.
I have a new 22" monitor, have Macular Degeneration...
I will have to find info about their equipment elsewhere.
With the Flash, and video, the site is slow.

Charlest,
According to their 2007 product catalog, the World Class Pearl Particle is due out September 7th, wiht others due out immediately thereafter. The Black Pearl Reactive has a release date of February 2008.

What type of internet connections do you guys have over there in the US?
Every click on the website changed over directly for me, no wait and no loading and I'm in Sweden...
-
I just got one thing to say . . . . I thought the BB and the WC weren't being discontinued? Looks like they have been (according to the yummy website).
-
The BB and the WC both were on the discontinued list that Kristine sent me in July! Bruce

I've had no problem with loading...but to me, I don't want Fred Borden talking to me about every ball. I find it rather distracting, really. Plus, there is just too much going on all at once...
In any case, I also find the description of the Black Pearl Reactive amusing, to say the least. They have money for flash, but not for spell-check? "Powerfull Length"...lol...
