Which early Lane Masters/Legends gem should make a comeback?
« on: August 01, 2017, 11:07:44 AM »
With so many companies turning back the clock and bringing back some gems from the past. I'd like to hear from some users of the equipment. Which Lane Masters or Legends piece from the early days would we like to see get a nice upgrade, and be brought back to the forefront for all to enjoy? Definitely anxious to hear some suggestions from everyone. My pick would be the Metal.

Deep Impact. The HyRoad is the only other ball I've seen that mimics that motion that consistently.

STING,nothing better then a two piece ball. Still have 4 drilled with different lay-outs and not one has cracked. Released in 2006 I believe. Still use all 4, often..

Everyone has their own favorites but most people forget the LM ball that put LM "on the map" - the Buzz.

It was an amazing ball. It could be replicated now, but for all the remakes that the NEW Lane Masters has tried to make to simulate the Buzz, all have failed miserably. I know: I tried most of the,

Depends on which release of the World Class for me. The first ones were fantastic, but once they had to change the core to appease the big crybaby Lane #1 tool, it wasn't the same ball in my opinion.

If I could choose one ball made by that company from the past, it would be the Sting. One of the most underrated balls in my opinion.

I never noticed this before, but the Metal wasn't technically a Lane Masters ball. And I say that having owned one. Yea, yea, it said Lane Masters on the cover, but it was a very small run of balls during the period when Lane Masters was being broken up and sold for parts. Lane Masters wasn't even an operating company at that time.

They changed the core and kept the same name?  Ugh why its such a crap shoot to often buy gems.  Checking pin colors and decoding serial numbers gets old.

Yep, Lane Masters/Legends had to change the original core because Lane#1 claimed it violated their patent of the diamond core. There are a couple of runs with the original core,  and those balls are fantastic. The ones after the change are okay, but not like the original.
