Title: Who pours these?
Post by: BowlingforSoup on February 10, 2017, 08:54:06 AM
Who pours the Lanemasters and Lord Field balls? US or Overseas

As far as I know,
Lord Field is poured by Lord Field in Korea.
Lane Masters is poured by Lane Masters in Stockton, CA.
(I believe) California Bowling imports LF balls,  and distributes LF and LM balls.

Thanks, 9orbetter.
I was just going to add that you or Pat Patterson may have more current or more appropriate details. I've kind of been out of the loop since Tony passed away.

I still love my original and new LM balls and the LF balls, but most of my LF balls are older ones.

I hear you. We all miss Tony too. Bob is doing a good job just needs time. The new LF balls are pretty good, as well as the LM balls. LM Pandemic you have to try and the LF Judgement Assasin

Black Pearl Blue Ocean is still bang'n it. Used it again this week. I got a tourney this weekend and this ball will be in action. Last tourney was on long oil over 40+ this ball was amazing. everyone else struggled on my pair on two different pairs.

If you've never thrown a Lane Masters ball you definitely should give one a try.  Put your favorite layout on what you would want to be your benchmark ball and give it a roll.  Just a response to the "ball with no filler" comment.  A particular ball manufacturer that starts with a B has a couple newer balls out that are re-releases of balls that were originally out in the 1990's in which they claim hit better due to their higher COR.  Coefficient of Restitution.  The difference in those balls -- no filler core.  Lane Masters has been doing that with many of their balls for years.

It's hit or miss imo. I had to change the surface serveral times before I was satisfied with the reaction. Frustrated, my last attempt was at 800 with a burgundy scotchbrite pad. Then proceed to have the best 3 weeks in 4 different centers 300/806, 300, 835, 804. I have one now drilled with a motionhole thats at 500 abralon with factory polish and loving the reaction. Have patience as the Evolution XT cover and Impact core is a funny combination. Good luck

Scott,

I will have a answer for you shortly. You will love LM/LF balls.  I just threw a 300 with my Odyssey after only using it for 6 games.  Balls hit extremely hard

Thanks; I finally saw that when a friend and I were discussing the chart. I didn't realize they this level of detail. Now, if they'd only publish the specs for the 14 lb. cores ...

That's the main reason I don't use LM.  Once they put out 14 lb. information I'd be interested.
