New to the Staff - Looking to update equipment
« on: March 02, 2015, 03:46:01 PM »
Hello, 1st time staff poster, long time ballreview creeper...

Anyway I currently bowl in a house that lays down a 43ft THS pattern.
I am averaging 209, but having issues in the fresh to get my ball to turn the corner. Mainly throwing a LM Black Pearl w/ pin below ring and cg kicked out. I would classify myself as a tweener with too much speed (I'm comfortable fast)...

Any way, thanks to Tony, I just joined the staff and am looking to update my arsenal. Due to my speed I have always favored heavier oil balls with shorter pins. I am open to a mix Lane Masters & Lord Field. So I guess I am looking for a good 2 balls to get me started? Thanks in advance for your help.

Think I'm leaning towards the Terminator Juggernaut and Buzz Legend as a beginning. But the Yeah Baby, Bloody Cross, and Answer are all asking for attention too... Just not sure where to go for my step below the Jugg.

After looking through too much info and reading all the reviews I could find. I went with the Lord Field Talent. Seems like it has everything I wanted, just couldn't find this ball's characteristics in the Lane Masters line of balls. Little skeptical, but I got it drilled up and am very happy with it.

Threw it Monday night in league, switched to it halfway through the first game and didn't look back. Wasn't doing much right, so I figured it wouldn't hurt to figure this ball out at that time. Continued to do little right until the third game, then I found my feet, this thing really shined. With my aggressive drilling in mind this thing really has a different shape than my hockey stick shaped Black Pearl Reactive. It is a fun addition to the bag and hopefully will be the go to ball.
