Are they pretty much the same? and will the WCPP need a flooded lane to perform? i want a ball that is more angular and snap hard. which one should i pick up?

These balls are fairly different, designed for different lane conditions. They are similar in that they have the same core, but the coverstocks are radically different. Neither ball is designed to snap hard. Both are more arching/control balls. The WCR goes longer, but goes too long on heavier conditions. The WCPP doesn't need a flood to function, but reads the lane much earlier than the WCR and starts the hooking sooner.
In truth, if your looking for more angular, you probably should be looking at a Black Pearl, but it is still the wrong ball if you bowl on medium to light condtions. In that case, you probably would want to consider the Buzz.
