XS Power & World Class Particle pearl
« on: November 12, 2007, 02:56:23 PM »
For my west coast br members Steve Cook's supply in Sacramento has just got in the XS Power and World Class Particle Pearls.

I have wcpp on the way from my pro shop and next month will get the XS Power, i give up on getting a good deal on a sting since nobody wants too part with them cheap enough.

Definitely more rolly and mid-lane read than the Buzz.  I've had a Buzz and the XS Power is more consistent, controllable and handles any carry down.

I threw the WCPP last night in warmup and had to knock off the factory polish to get the ball to even wrinkle, i hit it with burgandy pad lightly it was really shiny more so than the photo's on the site show.

Drilled 4 1/2 pin to pap under my ring, cg above my thumb hole no weight hole ball is mellow in my hands even with surface. My Attitude Shift since that was mentioned before hooked circles around this ball and was perfect for the nice oily shot i am seeing.

But in the defense of the WCPP it would be a great medium ball, i let a cranker next to me use it when his ball got stuck below the ball return floor when a pin shot through the chute. He was lefty mind you and low track at that but in his hands even with what would be a 6 1/2 pin or more, the ball turned like bat out of he11.

So it was more ball than my Fury Pearl at 2k no polish same drilling but not even close to the Attitude Shift with same pin to pap and mb below my thumb and right one inch which is probably 6 1/4 inches or so to pap.

So if you have friction or alot of hand yes might be good oob, i will need more time with this new ball it is going to be Burgandy on low speed no polish.

Very pretty ball and hit hards when you have the revs to get it back like the lefty cranker can.

How does it compare to the Black Pearl for mediums? Does the BP handle more oil? I read that these two are close in reaction but I like to hear from someone who have used them both. Thanks!

BTW, I have read Pat's review of both but I was hoping that you can provide another insight before I decide on one of these balls.

I did not have the BP with me, if i had the WCPP on my pair it would have been a perfect transition ball to be honest.

I let the other bowler on a pair next to me use the ball, it was hard to watch a 180 bowler have 85 in the 8 th before i handed him the ball to use.

I will retest the stock never touched BP versus the WCPP with burgandy pad head up on friday for something to do after thanksgiving.

Again somebody like Scotts33 with more revs probably would be able to use this ball the whole set, with my ball roll i needed help.

I look forward to your retest results. Thanks for taking the time.

Got the XSpower finally i am liking these ball alot already hits hard does not leave me 10 pins much, my standard pin under ring 4 1/2 drilling and cg stacked about 2 1/4 below no weighty.

It hooks less than my pin up Anger but the control of this ball is perfecto, a true reading solid reactive do not waste you money spending on another ball companies high end this will do the job right for under 200 drilled and hook plenty at that.

btw i hit the cover with 1k no polis after reading the bruns55 post, yes it is little long with that standard lanemasters finish. 1k or grey pad is what i think most will like and high rev guys probably 2k.
