How does the Xtreme Damage Platinum compare to the orginal Xtreme Damage?
You will not see me on the PBA Tour, but I love the game!!!

I don't believe this ball will be much different then the 1st,
RG's are the same, with the diff on 1st one .050 and new .051.
The original had a 1000 Scotch Brite White Pad Finish and the new 1000 Abralon Polished. The cover is a little different as the original had Endurance X-Treme ( Particle  Pearl) and the new Flex Molecular, which might cause to hook up a little sooner.
Loved the original, looking forward to this release.
Try a Lane Masters, you wouldn't be disappointed.

All depends on the Flex Molecular cover. Being rated for Medium Oil I would think it is a PP and yes I would think it would be close to the same as the original. Web site said a step up so I would assume a little stronger cover but how strong or what type is in question. I can say a ball with this core with a particle cover (Yeah Baby )is very strong and handles oil well. It would be interesting to see how the XDP compares to my YB.

I have two coming tomorrow, will let you know soon.  Got a 2-3" pin one coming, pobably drill it RICO and another coming with a 3-4" pin(don't know how I'll drill it yet, probably 70 x 4-3/4" x 35).
