I really like my Yeah Baby. I was wondering if there is another ball with the same core but different cover.
-
The picture of the Yeah Baby core looks like the IMPACT core, is it the same?
-
The Yeah Baby used the Impact Core with a heavy load diamond particle coverstock: 2.570 RG with a 0.050 Differential RG.
The Xtreme Damage, in preliminary specs, uses the same core, same RG and same Differential RG. Same 2-piece construction as the Yeah Baby. The Xtreme Damage in preliminary specs, uses a particle pearl coverstock.
The Strike Line (Sure Strike, Counter Strike and Solid Strike) also use the Impact core but are of 3-piece construction: Coverstock, wrap and core. The configuration difference accounts for the Strike Series higher RG and lower differential RG.

Why is it, when looking at pictures of the Yeah Baby core, it looks different than the Impact core. Don't get me wrong, I love my Sure Strike which uses the Impact core, but visually there appears to be a difference. I never had a Yeah Baby, (apparently one of the best balls they made), but now I am very interested in The Xtreme Damage. I'm sure I will wind up getting the Xtreme anyway, just asking if anybody else notices a difference in the 2 cores.

The Masterpiece also had that same core.
