Judgement
Specs:
Weight: 15.04lbs
Top: 3oz
Pin: 3-3/4
Layout:
Pin to PAP: 4-1/2
CG to PAP: 3-3/4
Dual Angle: 60 x 4.5 x 40

Review:
I got a chance to throw it yesterday morning on a fresh Kegel Main Street 41ft pattern on a 20+ year old wood surface. The pattern plays like a normal THS wet/dry. The first few times i threw the Judgement it reved up in the front part of the lane and had a continuous arc on the back end no matter if i threw it using an up the back release or giving it tilt. What i was impress by was the way the ball rolled from front to back where it looks like it wants to continue to drive compared to other balls that stop in front of the pins. This is definitely not a skid flip ball no matter how you throw it. I played multiple angles from up the track to hooking the whole lane. The hitting power is great and it carrys light hits like a champ. For my game personally i am going to change the cover due to the factory finish on any ball that is too glossy. I had a lot of over and under shots because i had to watch my speed. After my session, i went home and took down the surface starting with 500, 1000, and 2000 abralon. Then i put on two coats of Motiv polish. This gave me a sheen matte shine. I know this will blend out the wet dry better but the thing i will have to watch out for is that this ball will eventually start to burn up in the front part of the lane. I see the Judgement being the best on a pattern with a good amount of head oil with blended backend backends. On carry down i think this ball will be awesome because the particle in the cover will dig through it with no problems at all. Also, remember not to be afraid to alter the cover to fit your game.

The JUDGEMENT is drilled 45 x 4 x 30 which places the pin above the ring finger and cg and mb swung out right with a weight hole at P3.  I have been waiting a long time for the Judgement/Judgement Day as it is a very aggressive ball that can cover quite a few boards and is currently one of my biggest balls.  My THS is Brunswick Anvilanes, they us a modified USBC White with OB outside 5 board.  They oil with a Kegel machine oiling out to 28' and bufing to 40' using Duramax Synergy oil by Tech-Line and Twister Pins.

On this pattern I have been able to play up 15 board at the arrows out to usually 8-10 at the 40' lane marker (very similarly to my NASTY).  On this pattern I have been able to miss a touch wide (5-6 board) or in (11-12 board) and still carry everything.  Pin carry and pin action is amazing as pins get tossed around much more differently than other pieces I have thrown.

Overall, the JUDGEMENT is a very impressive piece of equipment and is my "Go To" ball right now and has me anxious to go bowling weekly.  I believe if you are thinking of purchasing a ball by Lord Field this should be the ball to buy, even though other offerings from Lord Field are just as top-notch.  The JUDGEMENT is ball that I believe other companies should stand up and take notice of.

My 2nd JUDGEMENT is drilled utilizing the RICO layout.  I really wanted to drill another Judgement after the impressive look I got with the first one (45 x 4 x 35).  I really wanted to drill my first one RICO but the pin distance of the first was not conducive for me to lay it out this way.  This RICO-drilled Judgement is every as impressive as the other one, this ball can cover just as much lane as the JUDGEMENT #1, but is more aggressive in the midlane.  My THS is Brunswick Anvilanes, they us a modified USBC White with OB outside 5 board.  They oil with a Kegel machine oiling out to 28' and bufing to 40' using Duramax Synergy oil by Tech-Line and Twister Pins.

On this pattern I have been able to play up 15 board at the arrows out to usually 8-10 at the 40' lane marker (very similarly to my NASTY and JUDGEMENT #1).  On this pattern I have been able to miss a touch wide (5-6 board) or in (11-12 board) and still carry everything like the other.  Pin carry and pin action is amazing as pins get tossed around much more differently than other pieces I have thrown.  I know this sounds like a cut-and-paste of the other JUDGEMENT, but the JUDGEMENT line is quite impressive and will make a big splash in the ball market, in my opinion.  I currently have teammates drooling over my Lord Field Arsenal.

Overall, this JUDGEMENT drilled RICO is yet another very, very impressive piece ball.  I believe if you are thinking of purchasing a ball by Lord Field this should be the ball to buy, even though other offerings from Lord Field are just as top-notch.  The JUDGEMENT is ball that I believe other companies should stand up and take notice of.

Thank You Tony Martin and Lord Field!

LANE CONDITION

Length: 40

Volume: 24.7

Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc): Kegel Sunset Strip Challenge Pattern

COMMENTS

My Judgment is drilled 85 x 4.5 x 40. My concerns with lower RG balls is getting them through the heads without burning to much of the energy off the ball. This is why I chose to go with higher sums in my layout. Well this layout worked amazing on this ball for me. This ball glides through the heads and has a very defined break in the backend. I wouldn't say skid/flip but a very hard defined arch in the backend. The pin action was amazing, it really kept those twister pins low and was tossing them all over the lanes. I scratched my OOB surface with a 4000 abralon pad as I wanted to see a tad more bite in the backend then what the high gloss factory finish was giving me. Lightly scratching the surface with the 4000 abralon pad worked to perfection.  When using this ball on a THS it was able to blend out the wet/dry very well and had no over under issues. I could bring this ball back from outside and was able to get some hold on the odd tug inside. What sets balls apart for me is how they perform on challenge and sport shots. I have been able to throw this ball on the Kegel Sunset Strip with some very good results. This ball gave me the control I needed and carry was amazing. Great job Lord Field can't wait to have some more fun with the Judgment.... Get your now! You can thank me later ;)

Likes:  Got to use my Lord Field Judgement in league 254 243 236 series 733 first night.  The next week in league I shot 244,237,289, 770 series using the Judgement.

House condition 1: AMF HPL
I wasn't wanting another crazy angular hockey stick motion. Check this ball isn't. The the line I threw the Judgement on fresh oil was in the track area 17-5. My Judgement with pin down does blend a skid, like my pearls with a pin up, and lightly reads the midlane til the ball finds dry and has a continuous arcing drive through the pocket.

I also threw the Judgement on dry lanes. I needed to keep speed up to make my ball react near 40' The line I threw was 23-7 with a high ball speed. Ball motion from the backend is still arcing but has a stronger reaction because less oil on the backend.

I am surprized how well the ball drives into the deck considering how smooth the entire lane motion looks. In my video you can see on a few early throws my ball drives into 9 as the lanes get used the ball starts to deflect and drive 5 and couple back into 8. Either I was losing ball rotation or carrydown was opening up the balls line. In either case the judgement still has tons of power to drive into the pocket.

__________________

House condition 2: Brunswick Prolanes

In general these lanes are much harder to score on. Normally, less ball motion and there is oob early games past 5 board.

ok with that said,  The judgement still does fine I throw 16 to 9. The total ball motion isn't as strong/jumpy as on the hpl.  The positive is the ball motion looks the same each throw very repeatable reaction.  The Judgement still drives just as strong in the deck after hitting the pocket even though I don't see the gigantic lane motion like on the hpl.  I can miss inside and the ball will hold a good angle to pocket because it has the long arc motion vs a pearl that snaps the second it finds dry.  The interesting note I seen using the judgement on the pro lanes was moving my line outside instead of moving deeper chasing oil. On the first night using the judgement on these lanes I shot 202.208.236 series 646.

LANE CONDITION

Length: 40'

Volume: heavy/medium

Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc): THS on AMF HPL

COMMENTS

Drilled:
50x5x25 pin above bridge no weighthole needed. OOB finish but can take cover adjustments well.

Reaction:
Effortless motion on the house shot with continuous movement at the break point. Carry is great as it exploits the pattern. Definitely a benchmark ball for me due the its versatility being a strong particle pearl. Was able to play the extreme outside (2-3-4 boards) as well as the deep inside angles.

Likes: Love Particle pearls

Specs:
Weight: 15lbs
Pin: 3 inches
Top: 3oz

Bowler: Joan Dalton
Staff: Lord Field Amateur II Staffer
Speed: 17mph
Track Type: Low Track

Layout: Pin Next to ring with the cg kicked out and a hole down low.
Purpose:To get the ball to pick up sooner due to Joan's speed and to have control on the backend

Picture:

Lane:
Wood Lanes
Kegel Main Street Pattern 41ft

Report:
The lanes were wet dry last night since this pattern is oiled 41ft, 8 to 8 with the most volume and 7 and out dry. It's definitely not a big bump outside due to OB on the outside edge. Joan's best look was throwing the Judgement 12 to 8. The ball reved up early in front part of the lane and had a strong controlled arc on the backend. She was able to play this line all night because all the other bowelrs were either one or two arrows deeper or playing up the gutter. The Judgement definitely shows that it blends out the pattern due to the Hybrid particle cover which is one of a kind. I do not believe there is another Hybrid particle out on the market except for the Judgement. When the heads started to burn, Joan firmed up and push ball through the heads and was able to stay in her area. With her speed she had to stay in her given area and was not able to open up the lane or pull. If the ball went too far it would hang and go light or if she pulled a touch in it was either a 4 pin or fast 8.

Joan is very excited to be on staff and the Judgment definitely was a great first ball to start off in the LF line up. She will be drilling up an Exodus Solid next which will be her benchmark ball.

I laid out this ball using the dual angle method 50x5x65. I left the surface at OOB for the video. What I was looking for was a late midlane read with a smooth arc off the breakpoint and that is exactly what I got. I have a basement full of bowling balls from nearly every manufacturer and can honestly say none of them give me the reaction I am seeing with this ball(that is not to say the rest are not good or serve no purpose). I am lucky to have four centers in my immediate area and though they are each slightly different the Judgement is still my first ball out of the bag in every one. The versatility I can achieve with different surfaces and hand changes lets me stay in my comfort zone longer than with previous equipment. I genuinely feel that most bowlers can greatly benefit with this ball in their bag. The video was hastily put together and because I don't have any other Lord Field equipment punched up I had nothing to compare it to. I will continue to improve the video quality and next time will show multiple launch angles. Thanks for reading and thank you in advance to those that respond.

Likes:I love how the ball clears through the heads and once it reaches the breakpoint just makes an arch to the pocket. The Judgement is unlike another ball I have seen when it comes to pin action. When it hits those pins they just shatter all over the place.

Comments:I have tried the Judgement at 3 different houses Each I can play multiple lines. this is ball is so versitile, and did i mention it takes surface adjustments very well! I have gone from OOB to 4000 to 1000 polished. For me having low revs and slow speed, 1000 polish works very well when you wanna swing it or play straight up 5!In either case the judgement still has tons of power to drive into the pocket.  Highly recommended for all bowlers!

With the Judgement I was looking for a compliment to my Exodus Iron.  I wanted a ball that would allow me to move left and play the lanes a little straighter than the Iron.  By laying the ball out 50*X6X70* and leaving the ball in OOB condition I certainly got the length that I was looking for.  My "A" game is starting the ball about 25 crossing the arrows about 15-18 out to about 5 at the breakpoint and back to the pocket.  This layout allowed me to move to 18-20 with my feet and go straight up 10 with plenty of backend reaction.  When everything was executed absolutely perfect it was a beautiful thing to see, however I experienced quite a bit of over/under with the slightest error.  after a couple sets with the ball in OOB I decided to knock the polish off and took it to 4000 abralon in an effort to eliminate that over/under.  This change created a much better blended shot than the box condition and allowed much more room for error.  This ball is a great compliment to the Exodus Iron and I think has found a home in my bag.

Very clean ball. This was my first LF ball drilled, and I went with a safe drilling for me on it. I used it practicing with it with the OOB surface. It was just too over under for me. I hit it with a 2000 pad, and that took the over under away and the ball has been a beast ever since. On a fresh shot with some oil, this is my go to ball. Once the lanes start going through transition, the ball gets a little squirly.

Dislikes:
OOB finish didn't work for me at all. I could tell after a practice session it wasn't going to work for my home center leagues.

LANE CONDITION I drilled this ball 55X4.25X35. I was very excited about this ball and could not wait to throw it. In OOB condition the ball went just a little long for my liking, so I took it down to 500 Abralon+Storm Step1 grip compound, what a difference it made. The clears the heads clean just like all of the Lord Field balls, pronounced mid-lane move and Hard Arc on the ball. The pins start to move out of the way before this ball hits the pocket. I am really impressed with this bowling ball thanks, Lord Field.
