Lordfield and Loving IT!!!
« on: March 14, 2013, 09:24:23 AM »
I recently started throwing Lordfield equipment and I could not be happier. As a high rev player I am always looking for equipment that can get through the heads clean push down the lane but still retain enough energy to hit hard. In the Lordfield Torment and Judgement I have found those exact qualities. Both balls have deliver incredible impact while making solid and predictable moves down lane.  I have already ordered several other Lordfield balls and I can't wait to try them out. I strongly recommend these balls to bowlers of all skill level.

You mention the hitting power and that is one thing that everyone notices when I throw the LF equipment. The other thing that goes un-noticed is that these balls take to surface changes really well. I am able to take the covers up and down and without any issues. I can't say the same for some major brands. Some brands you touch the covers and you get just lousy reactions and you can't even get them close to OOB once you changed the cover. With LF balls I have been able to get the balls back to pretty much the same reaction as OOB. I have been throwing these balls for over a year now and I have not seen any cover death at all, the balls are still reacting as if they just came out of the box.

I joined the lord field staff about a month ago. Im glad i did the equiment is great been using a judgement. The hitting power is great, but the control of the ball when the lanes start drying out is great. When everyones equiment starts snaping to hard in the backends the judgement is a nice controlled hook. i know what its going to do everytime i release it.  Can not wait ordering two more balls this week . I thought no other company would be as good for me as hammer.  but i was wrong thanks lord fields.

I have 3 guys that use lord field.  One has posted over at bbe. One is going to the amf vegas finals and the other just started bowling in January after a few years off from bowling.  They only have the Judgement.  I have a Korrupt to drill for one so can't get you anything other results yet. They seem very happy with the smooth motion and how strong the ball is in the deck with the Judgement. They tell me they like the ball better cause it's not so jumpy in the backend and the pins action gets them 9 or X more with bad hits.  I would call it the lucky(BS) strike% is way up for my two teammates with averages about 160 since throwing the Judgement.  One is a high track the other low and both are high rev dom bowlers.  They both play between 5th/4th arrow to somewhere around 3rd. The 3rd guy is a 210+ bowler and he is speed dom with 350 rev plays in the track and gets less arc because his ball speed.  My team all use the lord field 3 ball bag.  They waited to see the bag in person and then ordered up.   I do extremely well using both the Judgement 289,770 and Korrupt 298,810.

Cornerpin, I understand your concern but do recall the other thread where the perks of being on staff are questioned. It is true that I am on staff and enjoy it thoroughly, but if the product was suspect, it's not as if myself or other staffers would be walking away from a lucrative contract where we are getting free or close to free equipment. The fact that myself and other staffers are willing to pay for the equipment should at the very least somewhat speak to the quality.

It would be difficult to turn down free equipment regardless of quality for a number of reasons that various people may feel are 'important', inexpensive to try new layouts/surface preps, ability to have the latest and greatest constantly, etc. This is not the case with Lord Field yet I am still enthusiastic about spreading the word and getting the name out there.

The one major point I will give you is that there are a lot of reviews that are extremely general ie. "controls the midlane well and carries everything!". This doesn't tell myself or anyone else anything about the actual ball. At this stage, I feel there needs to be more comparisons to equipment that is more readily available so that someone who hasn't seen or had a chance to try a LF ball can easily compare it to what they're seeing in their house. For example if I was to say that if my 508a oob is going a touch too long I'm able to switch to the judgement which provides an earlier read with a more arcing backend and is a natural progression to a stronger ball on heavier or longer oil, this would likely give you a better idea of where the ball would fit into your arsenal.

At this point I have only 2 games on my Korrupt, so i won't provide any feedback on that just yet, but as far as the judgement goes. The largest sticking point to me is that once this ball turns the corner it drives extremely hard and straight through the deck. I AM NOT equating this to 'it carries everything.' But for someone with stroker/tweener revs and low axis tilt, I find myself leaving more 8 pins with this ball than anything else I've ever thrown. The ball allows me to stay in the pocket on tougher shots where it's less of a carry contest and more about managing the pocket, timely strikes and leaving makeable spares.

I have an Exodus that I loved for medium oil. I posted this before LordField had their own forum:
http://www.ballreviews.com/other/first-tosses-of-the-exodus-redblue-t284830.0.html

I'd still be using it, if the house was still putting down decent oil. I am definitely not a staffer. As a result of my use of the Exodus, I bought an Exodus Pearl and an Exodus Iron. Haven't drilled them yet, due to current injury recuperation.

Your assesment of the Judgement is right on. I have recently been selected as a staff member so I don't have a lot of games on my Judgement yet, but it does drive through the deck very well. Once it turns, there is no stopping it. I do think the ball responds better in oil as opposed to dry. I'm a left handed, high rev, high speed player and here in Ky, we frequently see dry lanes. My layout is 50x2 1/2x 25. It's a label leverage drilling. It reads in the midlane and doesn't overreact. My Korrupt should be delivering next week and I'm anxious to get my hands on it.
