Comments on Lord Field.. I've not used your balls.. I'm in the market for a new ball. It's between a Seismic or a Lord Field. I want something different that nobody else has.

Your post here on why people don't always buy or carry Lord Field balls. I think it's just going to take a little time to get the name out there. People from the company are participating on these forums, and reading that post almost swayed me over to a Lord Field ball, but ultimately a few factors made my decision to try Seismic.

First off, I think made in Korea plays a part in my decision. Maybe it shouldn't. I'm on the fence about this. I do know I don't want one made in Mexico that's for sure.

Second, I Googled Lord Field. Know what the first thing that pops up is? A different website that sells Lane Master and Lord Field balls. So, that's why some people think you are the same company. I searched a few different terms to try and find out if you had a website. It just wasn't in the top of the search engines and I too thought you were part of Lane Masters and I am not interested in a Lane Masters product. Only when I came back to these forums did I find it was as simple as lordfield.com.

You need something to get your name up higher in search engines. The more information on the web about you, the better. So, why not start something that's simple to do and free? Such as a Wikipedia page? Lord Field was founded in blah blah by so and so. List your balls. I know it's something that's already on your website probably. But you start the ball rolling and eventually people will contribute to the wikipedia page I bet. I actually get some hits on my website because someone put a link on another wikipedia page to my website. So maybe there's some like minded wiki pages you could get your website on. Or maybe something like this bowling ball comparison chart:

Thanks for the consideration. I can tell you that Lane Masters and Lord Field currently are 2 separate factories with the same American distributor, California Bowling, LLC.

Lane Masters is poured in the U.S., Lord Field in South Korea. I understand your "Made in USA" argument and sympathize. The only thing I can say about that is Lord Field is a South Korean company that pours their product where they are located and then ships them to the U.S. because they thought folks over here would like their stuff (and a lot of us do). In comparison to some other folks, Lord Field isn't an "American Company" who simply moved their manufacturing to another country to save a few bucks. With enough growth and popularity, perhaps one day they can move some manufacturing here... and become something similar to Toyota or Honda; products that began as a foreign company but now are often made in the USA as well.

As far as online info, hopefully they'll move up the search engine as they grow and more folks are searching for them. Until then, there's info online on a few different websites, and you can always come here and ask and hopefully a knowledgeable staffer or 2 will help you out.
