Judgement Devastation
« on: December 19, 2013, 06:36:06 PM »
Just a bit about myself first I have med to low ball speed and my axis is 2 over 5/8 up. The layout that I went with for the devastation is 55X4 1/4X 70. I currently bowl on Kegel beaten path, and a modified house shot.  First thought of this ball for me was difficult for me. The ball was very strong overall and was over-hooking on every part of the lane.  For me it reminded me of my storm balls they just hook way too much with my release.  After brining the ball back to my pro shop owner and talking with tony martin I decided to change the surface from the factory 1000 with sheen to 4000 with no polish. This ball is now a perfect benchmark ball for me.  It is very clean through the heads picks up very strongly in the mid-lane, and makes a strong but controllable  move towards the pocket.  This ball for me is a bout 3-5 boards less overall for me compared to my bad news which is drilled 60X4X30. The move on the back end is what is a big difference for me. My bad news goes sideways off the back part of the pattern and is good for longer patterns. The devastation is a lot smoother off the spot and does not jump. This ball allows me to play the track area to start, and once the area starts to "blow up" I can move in and open the lane up with no problem.  The only area I have not been able to play is up the extreme outside, in my hands this ball is just too strong to play up the gutter.  Overall this is by far my favorite piece from lord field. I currently have 3 lf balls the bad news, devastation, and a pin hacker.  Both my pin hacker and bad news have the same characteristics in the back, they are very clean with a very strong skid flip motion.  The Devastation is more of a mid lane read ball for me, but it does not jump on the backend. it also has a good carry percentage. Overall this is a great piece for anyone who is looking for a go to or benchmark ball to use on both challenge and house shots.

I can not compare to the original judgement I never had one. So far have 3 lord field pieces. The bad news, devastation, and pin hacke. Find the devastation to be more overall but less in the back which is great for me as with my axis I have problems getting the ball to not go 90 degrees left when it see friction
