Title: Opinion on our products?
Post by: ryan24 on February 17, 2013, 02:51:10 PM
Hi, i am a part of Lordfield's staff and id like to take this time to get an evaluation from bowlers everywhere on their opinion or rating of our products and anything we can do to make it better or something you would like to see:)

No one throws this stuff or carries it in pro shops around my area.  At least none that I am aware of.  i don't see any of it during leagues.  When I bring up Lord field, people talk about how its another company going to go nowhere such names are compared to the equipment.  Elite, Seismic and also Motiv are the names that pop up in these conversations.

I have the PIN HACKER .. bought it NIB and have it at box finish. Ball works fairly well on MED/Light oil .. used it infrequently!

I have never seen anyone using one of these balls in the DFW area. I bowl travel league with 40 + teams and have never seen one in any pro shops either. I know my pro shop has never carried one of these balls.

I will be throwing nothing but Lord Field balls as of next week. I have never thrown one nor have seen one thrown around my area. Purchased three balls in the last 24 hours for tournament use, Nasty, Higgs Force and Heritage. I will continue to build up my Lord Field arsenal, but for now I have those three. Looking forward to see how they compare to my previous arsenal in tournament action.  (Was just informed that the Heritage ball that I purchased today will not happen due to seller not having any more in stock. I seem to be having a problem locating where to purchase Lord Field bowling balls from the internet at a decent price?)

I see a few LF balls locally( Tony lives and bowls here). I personally have not thrown one, but they seem to work as well as any other ball from seeing others use them.

And where I bowl it all storm/roto/bruns/ebo ...more are throwing motiv but I came from rolling a 2cruel from motiv and averaged better ,but the first time throwing the judgment and now the pin hacker I'm hooked ....ill be getting my nasty Monday can't wait to roll that

I use the Exodus Iron, Exodus, Exodus Pearl, Jacked, Nasty, Higgs Force, Heritage, and the Judgment. They have some very good equipment. The Exodus line is awesome with the Exodus Pearl being my favorite pearl I have ever thrown. The Heritage has some pretty amazing continuation, The Heritage and the Higgs Force are some pretty good oil balls. Just started throwing the Judgment and it is the first low RG ball that I am able to skid through the heads with a very defined backend. Really like what I am seeing from these balls. I pretty much mainly bowl on sport shots and challenge patterns and these balls give me the control of the lanes that a lot of other brands fail to do on these patterns. Lord Field balls seem to really maintain there inertia and explode into the pins. If you have not yet tried these balls, I highly recommend you give one to the balls a shot you won't be disappointed.

For only being out here in the states for a little over a year, I think Tony is going in heading in the right direction. First he started with a few pro shop staffers across the states and now branching out having an amateur staff is a plus. It takes time to advertise a product especially if its a coming from overseas. Everyone remembers storm back in 1995 when they came out with the Teal, and urethane Teal. Who would have thought they would be where they are now when they had to compete against all the other companies who had great balls out at the time like the beast, nitro r, rpm, danger zone and etc... It's going to take time for lord field to get out there. As long as they have great quality usable balls i believe they can make it.

In the Owasso and Miami area people have heard about it, but are too afraid to take the plunge on new equipment. I'm intrigued as all get out, but right now I'm testing the Seismic waters. Some demo days or something would likely be the right move to make a bigger splash for Lord Field.

I currently own all of the Lord Field balls released in the United States since early last year and I honestly can say there is not a dud in the bunch.  Coverstocks are holding up like no other and people are starting to take notice around my home area.  I have punched up a couple for friends and they love them but cannot afford to buy equipment left-and-right.  By the way, I drilled their stuff at my home where I do all my own drillings.

I'll tell you what id like to see , a high rg (2.55-2.6)  asymmetrical with a diff of .05-.06 and a int diff of .018-.025 wrapped strong pearl cover maybe in crimson/mother of pearl color...
and maybe a spare ball

Pat, I am curious and very interested in the comment about "coverstocks holding up like no other".  This is a very important aspect of ball performance for me.  I currently use Visionary products, which have a well known (and well deserved, in my experience) reputation for cover longevity.  You appear to have thrown Lord Field equipment longer than anyone else who regularly posts.  Have you ever thrown any VBP products and can you do an "apples to apples" comparison on that particular property?

of course no one sees them in their area, we are fairly new and not very well known.  but I will say every tourney I go to, every event i take part in, there is always 4-6 guys/gals want to know what it is I am throwning.  What they see is the davastating hit in the hole, the performance on the lanes

I see someone up above posted about Seismic, Motiv those two brands are making noise.

As LF builds their user base, you will see more and more in your area, as we get more guys on our Staff program, these will be introduced into areas dominated by other brands, and they will be great fits and guys will score.  a tidal waves starts with a little bump somewhere it just takes momentum to get going, and Tony has it to the top of the hill ready to push it over and snowball into something major, stay tuned

The Lord Field bowling balls are great...especially the Exodus series.   The issue is marketing...very few bowlers know about the bowling balls or where to buy them.

Judgement

I laid out this ball using the dual angle method 50x5x65. I left the surface at OOB for the video.  What I was looking for was a late midlane read with a smooth arc off the breakpoint and that is exactly what I got. I have a basement full of bowling balls from nearly every manufacturer and can honestly say none of them give me the reaction I am seeing with this ball(that is not to say the rest are not good or serve no purpose). I am lucky to have four centers in my immediate area and though they are each slightly different the Judgement is still my first ball out of the bag in every one. The versatility I can achieve with different surfaces and hand changes lets me stay in my comfort zone longer than with previous equipment. I genuinely feel that most bowlers can greatly benefit with this ball in their bag. The video was hastily put together and because I don't have any other Lord Field equipment punched up I had nothing to compare it to. I will continue to improve the video quality and next time will show multiple launch angles. Thanks for reading and thank you in advance to those that respond.

I am on staff with lord field, and been throwing them since aug, and there wasn't anyone around here throwing the product, until now, now there are like 5-6 guys throwing the product and they all love it, as far as shops I beleave the only shop in the area that has any on the wall is the one that I help out in, I put something of mine on the wall to get recognized and after having a judgement for show, I have had 3 guys wanting to buy one and a few others wanting to throw mine to see how they are and they all have been impressed, needless to say the product is awesome and I can't wait till the next one comes out

In my area people know I throw Lord Field very well.  They ask and I show them a binder with the lord field catalog I always carry around.  First response is "Hmm, never heard of them"  next most heard is "let me see what your throwing, again" and "what's that company's name." There are those that won't buy unless the brand/ball is in the shop. Then, people that want to go online and know more about prices/videos/reviews. Finally people that are willing to buy through me but have always bought from a business. Lets be honest it's different for me as well. I have people in each of my leagues interested and all have said "if I buy another ball I want you to get it for me."

I follow the lord field facebook page daily and there are so many great bowlers posting.  I think as a group we are feeding off each others positives and we all want to do better. As for communications for me has been amazing with Tony via email.  I have asked tons and gotten excellent help each time.

I have never rolled any Lord Field pieces. I have watched a ton of videos and like what i see.

Seems Lord Field doesn't exist here in the great pacific northwest. I asked the pro in the shop if he could order them and he said he could so one of them might be the next ball i buy.

What he said.  I've seen a few in the bags of Stockton bowlers at the San Joaquin Junior Travel League, but I've yet to see one go down a lane.

I've not seen any here in the Southern NJ area.  I think people would consider them if 1) they were familiar with the name 2) knew where to find and how to order.

As an example, I started the season with a couple 900G balls.  During practices and the first few weeks of league, many folks asked what I was throwing, who's 900G, etc. etc.  I've seen 5 or 6 pop up now through various leagues/ local tournaments. Word of mouth, honest feedback, and actually being able to see how something rolls in your house on "typical" conditions goes a long ways with folks.
