Surface Manipulation
« on: May 07, 2013, 02:27:26 PM »
I just wanted to throw out there that the Lord Field line has to be one of the best lines for changing surfaces. Of all the balls I have (Korrupt, Torment, Exodus Pearl, Heritage, Judgement, Jacked) I have changed the surface on each one of them multiple times and they matched up quite well and as expected on the conditions I needed. I have had experiences in the past where balls were so shot/surface specific, but I have had nothing but luck so far with changing surfaces to meet my individual lane needs. Keep it up guys!

The second I got the Big Hurt I sanded and put on the polish knowing what I was getting and how I wanted it to fill my gaps.  I've had the Torment for a little less time than the Big Hurt but I've changed that ball 4 times because expected lane conditions.  3 sand and once for polish. Many places are playing dry right now so I pair my Torment to their lane surface.

I was changing the ball surface on my judgment or Korrupt once a week for awhile.  I had leagues on different lane types and then weekend tourney. I never go onto the tough patterns without scuffing up the bowling balls and maybe add light polish. I have to agree the Lord Field balls are pretty easy to change up and down grit and results are very predictable.  I have gone 4k then jump down to 1000 polish and right back up.  It's really nice to know you can use your lane and pattern knowledge and adjust your lord field bag to cover the long set. I could easily go Judgement, Korrupt, Torment. They are so unique for me and what I can do with the surface changes.
