$10,000 First Place
« on: May 17, 2010, 02:25:53 AM »
I am organizing a 4 person league to be held at Langan's All Star Lanes in Walled Lake, Mi. for the upcoming (2010-2011) fall season. First place will be $10,000 guaranteed based on 18 teams. I operate the pro shop and we will be offering at least 10% discounts to league bowlers plus free cleaning and discounted ball maintenance.

This will be a brand new league so we will have complete control of prize fund, pattern, point system, etc. We will have a league meeting in August to vote on the details.

Any Metro Detroiter's looking for a high paying, high caliber league please contact me with pm or call (248)669-5400 Thurs-Sun from 4p.m to 10 p.m.

Just started organizing it last week and response has been pretty high so it might fill up fast.

Thanks

58 views and no replies or questions? Is it just that nobody is local or is there some part of the league that doesn''t sound appealing.

Lmk what you guys are thinking please.

Personally I am really excited about bowling in it because it is gonna be a quicker pace with less breakdown/transition and better share of any prize winnings.

Not in the area, but how much is the league fees. How are you able to guarantee 10,000 first place.

It is $25 a week (which is just a touch higher than top end men's teams around here) and I talked the center down on lineage. By doing this I end up with nearly $40,000 in the prize fund. My proposed prize list will still pay $1100 for 10th place and $700 for last place.

With a 4 man roster this is a pretty good return on your money. Of course this is all tentative until the league decides exactly how they want the league to run. That being said, I will not budge off the $10K for first if I can fill the house. (18 teams)
